Civil Defense teams in Latakia say they spotted arsonists setting fires in the forests but were unable to stop them as they ran up the mountain. Security forces deployed with them is necessary they say. Local sources say Assad regime remnants are behind the nearly week long fires.

A US-led coalition drone strike targeted a vehicle on an agricultural road near Killi, a town in northern Idlib. The identity of the target remains unknown.
