The Kremlin announced that Russia will invite the new Syrian authorities to attend the first Russian-Arab summit in October.

The summit will take place on October 15, 2025, in Moscow to enhance political, economic, and cultural cooperation between Russia and Arab countries.

Colonel Thaer Hussein, the second senior official from Saydnaya Prison to be arrested today, was taken into custody by the Internal Security Command in the Tartous countryside. As part of ongoing efforts to hold those accountable responsible for the prison’s notorious abuses, he has been placed in judicial custody.
