Awards, rewards and demonstrative appreciation give them a sense of fulfillment because they confirm that children have drawn enough attention from parents and teachers. 'Attention seeking' is one of the basic needs of every being.*_
_*Any behavioral change can be achieved by giving attention to the positive behaviors you want and more importantly, by ignoring the negative behaviors you don't want. Feed attention to the behaviors you want more from children. Starve attention to those behaviors you want them to stop, and soon the behavior will change!!!*_
