ከገጠሪቷ የኢትዮጵያ ቦታዎች ለተለያየ ጉዳያቸው ወደ መሐል ከተማ የሚመጡ ሰዎች ስነ-ባህርይ ግርም፣ድንቅ ነው የሚለኝ።

እኚኽ ሰው አቶ ሞገስ ይባላሉ። መንገደኛ ናቸው። ''በአትኩሮት ስመለከትዎ እንደው ሁሉ ነገሮ ደስ ነው ያለኝ'' ብዬ በድፍረት ሄጄ ብነግራቸው ፥ አቤት ያሳዩኝ ፈገግታ...! እውነት ለመናገር እንደተመለከትኩት አይነት ፈገግታ የከተማ መንገድ ላይ በቅርብ ያገኘሁበትን አላስታውስም።

የከተማ ሰው እንዳልኾኑ እና ከተማ ከሚገኝ ደጀ ሰላም የቂርቆስ በዓለ ንግስ ለማክበር ከክፍለ ሀገር እንደመጡ ፤ ያረፉትም ዘመድ ጋር እንደኾነ በወፍ በረር ነገሩኝ።
እኔ የጠየኳቸው አንድ ጥያቄ ነበረ! የከተማ ሰው ነዎት ወይ? ከላይ የፃፍኩትን ነው የመለሱልኝ። አስቡት! ያለ የዛን ቀን አይተውኝም አያውቁም።

ኧረ ወገን እኛ እንዴት ነው የኖርነው!? 🤔

ምን እንደገባኝ ልፃፍማ ፥ በመንገድ ላይም ኾነ በማንኛውም ቦታ የቦታው ሁናቴ ምቹ ከኾነ ፥ ያለ የዛን ቀን አይተነው ከማናውቀው ሰው ጋር መግባባት ፣ ማውራት ፣ ኀሣብ እና ፈገግታ መለዋወጥ በብዛት ሁለቱንም ፤ ካልኾነ ግን ወይ እኛ ራሳችንን ወይ ደግሞ ያወራነውን ሰው እንዴት ''ደስ'' አስብሎ እንደሚያስገኝ ብታውቁ።

 እኔ እድለኛ ኾኜ በቅርብ ከመንገዴ የተረዳኹት ይኽን ነው።

I always get astounded and astonished by the etiquette of people residing in the rural area who come to undertake tasks of different kind

This man’s name is Mr. Moges. This man is a traveler.

I summoned my courage and initiated the conversation. “The more I consider you, the more your disposition pleases me.” I began. In response, He produced such a smile as I had never seen on the city roads in recent memory. A lively conversation ensued after our introduction. He informed me that he wasn’t a city-dweller and had come to the city to partake in the ceremony commemorating the martyr Kirkos at “Deje Selam” (or “The Threshold of Peace” in its literal English translation). At the time, he told me that he was staying with his relatives.

I had made just a single remark followed by a simple question “Are you from around here?”. Consider it. We made acquaintances that day and, on the selfsame day, he had divulged the above information regarding himself. How are we, the city-dwellers, living? Can we converse with people we don’t know prior, let alone, understanding each-other and exchanging personal details? How about exchanging a laugh or a simple smile? If not though, it is worth considering how our engagement would please ourselves and those who we communicate with.

I reckon myself lucky to have learnt this on my recent journey.
