What uncovered in #Bole?
Yes, Architecture!

The intriguing Nile source building by the Ethiopian masterarchitect Zeleke Belay is unveiled at Bole road in Addis Abeba.

The flesh and soul of his architecture reminds us of the masterminds we came to know in architecture, the big names, right!

He has that aura which you can see in his designs and the level of courage to transcend beyond the complex horizon in the hustle-bustleful design environment in #Africa.

He never failed to spark in his practice which translates to be a very eloquent use of #space and #form and the utilisation of highest order in architecture! Not simple at all!

This initiative aims to democratize #urbandevelopment in Ethiopia by involving all citizens in city planning discussions. Historically, experts and governing bodies dominated the conversation, leaving the public as passive observers. To bridge the language gap, we'll produce #videos, #interviews, and #workshops in local languages, making them freely accessible. By doing so, we hope to create a platform for citizens to engage with #urbanissues, share their perspectives, and shape their cities' future.

โ€œThe town had no key infrastructures such as drains or water infrastructures and had only two communication routes in the center, which had been partly paved in the 1930s for the coronation of the Negus. In the midst of a cluster of dwellings, almost all tukuls, the only architectural buildings were the imperial Ghebi to the north, the Djibouti railway station to the south, the Bank of Abyssinia, the Coptic church of St. George, two hotels, the foreign embassies and the Italian and the Swedish hospitals.โ€
