多倫多612港人覺醒兩週年車隊遊行，我們義工在停車場及路邊泊車數到至少130架車，在經過中領館後路段舉旗指揮交通的義工數到超過200架車。
這並非一個數字。
這是一個個有心人，聚在一起，是你和我一起參與的一件盛事。有戰友說過，加拿大港人圈子已很久沒有這麼大型的活動。
今次新香港文化協會、香港台、多倫多支持中國民運會、灝玥社、安港學民，還有各位參與活動的戰友，大家一齊努力，才搞了一場這麼大的活動。
不過，講真，搞一場很大的活動，沒有甚麼值得高興。
真正值得高興的是，有這麼多有心人出來，因為這活動有你，有我，有各位戰友，在烈日當空底下仍堅持出來。坐司令台的義工曬傷了手臂，坐車遊行的義工也曬到手臂通紅，久久不散。各位參與的司機、朋友又何嘗唔係？

Hong Kong Watch has been committed to fighting for the rights of BNOs and held the first ever seminar on BNO Affirmative Action in the UK Parliament in March 2019, chaired by Lord Alton, Member of the House of Lords and Patron of Hong Kong Watch.
Lord Alton said at the meeting that BNO holders were British nationals. He also said that it was necessary for the British government to fulfill its legal obligations and re-examine the existing legislation to protect the rights of British nationals. The Hong Kong Watch stressed at the time that the BNO represents British nationality, not just a travel document, and that holders can vote in british general elections, apply for the British Civil Service and join the military,etc.

20 名跨黨派加拿大國會議員致函外交部長Marc Garneau 。呼籲立即審查香港官員在加拿大資產，列出(#馬格尼茨基制裁)名單。
加國議員敦促加拿大政府審查香港官員及其家屬在加拿大資產。

Today, a cross-party group of twenty Canadian parliamentarians have written to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Marc Garneau PC. MP, calling for an audit of the financial assets and connections Hong Kong officials have with Canada.
The letter states that the parliamentarians recognise the ‘substantial amount of research, evidence and scrutiny goes into the designation of individuals under the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act’.
They urge the Canadian Government to begin the process by auditing the Canadian assets of Hong Kong officials and their families, including: the Hong Kong Chief Executive, Chief Secretary, Financial Secretary, Secretary for Justice, Secretary for Security, Secretary for Education, Secretary for Home Affairs, Secretary for the Environment, Secretary for the Civil Service, and the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs.
The letter concludes that by undertaking an audit of the assets of Hong Kong officials in Canada, officials and parliamentarians will have a clear understanding of the effectiveness of including Hong Kong officials on a Magnitsky sanctions list.
Commenting on the letter, Sam Goodman, Hong Kong Watch Canada’s Senior Policy Advisor, said:
“Given the public knowledge of the personal links that a number of Hong Kong officials have to Canada, we welcome this important initiative from parliamentarians.
It is reasonable and necessary for the Government to undertake an audit of the financial assets and connections Hong Kong officials have in Canada, so that parliamentarians and officials can assess the effectiveness of including them on a Magnitsky Sanctions list.
We hope that the Minister will act on this request as a matter of urgency, so that Canada can move one step closer towards sanctioning Hong Kong officials guilty of human rights violations.”

In the 100th year of Chinese Communist Party, the land has been bloody, truth is filthy, all of us are angry!
On 1st of July, 2021, the 100th anniversary of CCP, Tibet, East Turkistan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Han and local Canadians join together, and chastise Xi Jinping’s mother! We shall meet at 12:00 at Grange Park, and rally to Red China’s Consulate. As a member of Five Eyes, as well as NATO and G7, Canada is the pioneer of the free world. Itis inappropriate for Canada to get on with Red China, the dictatorship government who has been supressing the freedom of speech, massacring the people living on the land they had invaded.
This activity is cross race and cross community, which shows our solidarity to give pressure to our government. We urge Canada to have back bone, stand up to the dictatorship and defend our core values!
We also want to urge Canada to boycott the Winter Olympics, to show that the free world will say no to the Red China!
We anticipate People Republic of China to be overthrown in the near future, Chinese Communist Party coming to an end and their members facing the punishment of justice.

2021年7月1日，適逢中國共產黨建黨100年，西藏、東突厥、香港、台灣、越南、緬甸、漢族，以及加拿大本地人聚首一堂，齊齊為中共贈慶。我等先在12:00於格蘭奇公園（Grange Park）聚義，再齊齊操往中國領事館，問候習近平娘親！加拿大身為北約成員國、五眼聯盟國、G7成員，是自由世界的翹楚，絕無可能與扼殺言論自由、滿手血腥的中共為伍。是次聚義跨越不同種族、不同社區，彼此之間不割蓆不分化，顯示我等齊心向加拿大政府施壓，要求加拿大挺直腰骨，捍衞加拿大核心價值，向極權說不！

加拿大參議員胡元豹 (Yuen Pau Woo) 當地時間周一（28日）在上議院表示，加拿大就新疆人權議題對中方作出的譴責純屬「標籤」。他呼籲加拿大反以自身「原住民政策」歷史與中方積極對話，協助中國成為「多元民族」的國家。
上議院周一審議由保守派提出有關新疆議案，建議加拿大「承認中國正對維吾爾人和其他突厥裔穆斯林進行種族滅絕」。胡元豹反對議案時形容，其實加拿大在歷史上對原住民，又或甚對現在的新移民和少數社群等，做過類似中國對維吾爾人的行為。他認為，該議案將製造無益的「題外話」，影響加中關係。
胡元豹表示，雖然自己比起權威主義更崇尚民主體制，但也不能扼殺中國政府在「正當性」方面的獨有體制。他引述民主聯盟基金會的調查，發現7成中國受訪者認同國家是民主的，高於加拿大、印度和美國的調查結果。他認為，中加對自由的定義不同，但不能作為教導教訓中國統治藉口。
該議案周二（29日）以29:33 遭大比數否決。
胡元豹1963年出生於馬來西亞，在新加坡長大，2016年被加拿大總理杜魯多任命為參議院的獨立參議員。

🇨🇦Hong Kong Watch Canada —— 4 new Canadian Patrons has joined Hong Kong Watch
Today, Hong Kong Watch Canada is pleased to announce that several prominent parliamentarians have agreed to become Patrons. This includes Canada’s former Justice Minister and Attorney General Irwin Cotler, who chairs the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights, Senator Jim Munson, former Whip of the Senate Liberal Caucus and former Chair of the Senate Human Rights Committee, Senator Leo Housakos, former Speaker of the Senate and a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and James Bezan MP, Shadow Minister for National Defence and Vice Chair of the Standing Committee on National Defence.
They join Canada’s former Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific David Kilgour and Shadow Minister for International Development and Human Rights Garnett Genuis MP who are also Patrons of Hong Kong Watch. The organisation has engaged actively in advocacy in Ottawa over the past three years and is now in the process of establishing a branch to further enhance our presence in Canada.
Commenting on their appointment as Patrons, Hong Kong Watch’s co-founder and Chief Executive Benedict Rogers said:
“We are absolutely delighted to be able to expand our board of Patrons in Canada, and to be joined by such distinguished figures who enhance our bi-partisan and global reach as an international organisation working for the basic freedoms, human rights, rule of law and autonomy of the people of Hong Kong.”
Hong Kong Watch Canada Patron, Irwin Cotler said:
“Hong Kong Watch is needed now more than ever given Beijing's assault not only on media freedom - and the democracy movement - but democracy itself in Hong Kong. We have a responsibility to stand in solidarity with the people of Hong Kong in defense of our international treaty obligations and the protection of human rights and human dignity.”
Hong Kong Watch Canada Patron, Senator Leo Housakos said:
“We have seen the erosion of rule of law and human rights take a great toll on the people of Hong Kong over the past few years. The advocacy work of Hong Kong Watch has been vital in keeping pressure on the communist regime of China by bringing together parliamentarians, academics and media throughout the western world to call on their governments to take action.
As a parliamentarian who has been asked to be part of some of those efforts, I’m deeply honoured to now be named a Patron of HK Watch and as such, I pledge to continue to lend my unwavering support to their important work.”
