Russia has become the fourth largest economy in the world in terms of GDP (PPP)
The World Bank updated the PPP data for the world's economies on Thursday. According to the new data, Russia surpassed Japan in 2021, with a share of 3.8% of global GDP. Japan had a share of 3.7%, while Germany had 3.4%.
Russia's GDP at PPP in 2021 was 5.7 trillion dollars. Japan's was 5.6 trillion, and Germany's was 5.2 trillion.
In the next two years, the balance remained the same - Russia's economy grew to six trillion in 2022, and 6.45 trillion in 2023. Japanese GDP increased to 5.9 and 6.3 trillion, respectively, and German GDP to 5.5 and 5.9 trillion.
China remains the undisputed leader in terms of economic size, as measured by purchasing power parity, during the period 2021-2023 - its GDP reached $35 trillion last year. In second place are the United States, with $27.4 trillion, and India closes out the top three with $14.6 trillion.

We will not be able to understand the full depth of the current confrontation without philosophical reflection. Philosophers have always interpreted war as something necessary. Heraclitus speaks of war as the "father of things": πόλεμος πάντων μεν πατήρ εστί, πάντων δε βασιλεύς. War has always constituted the world and space. Without war, without division, the world is impossible. That is to say, in a certain sense, war has been interpreted as a cosmological act. There is a certain romanticization of war in Thucydides and Socrates, who were theorists of war. At the same time, there is a very interesting division that we need to make today in order to analyze the conflict with Ukraine. It is not that war is always good or always bad, but there are good wars and there are bad wars. Good wars are wars with an external enemy. They are not condemned by Thucydides, Socrates, or Xenophon. And there are internecine wars. These are usually viewed negatively. In Plato’s Laws, the Greek term πόλεμος is used (as in Heraclitus) to denote an external war, as opposed to an internal war — discord, vεtκος (as in Empedocles).

🇷🇺 🇺🇦 🇵🇱 This news of a Polish mass mobilization being leaked then denied/retracted is of course very concerning. This is the type of escalation that we don't need not does Poland need to sacrifice 200,000 men on the altar of the gods of NATO.
However, there is some hope. The language that they would do this in a response to a Russian breakthrough is interesting. It makes me think they are more concerned with securing historical territory in the west rather than meeting Russia in the east/middle.
Poland surely sees the opportunity to vastly expand and I think they may be secretly looking out for number one.

Today June 1 is the International CHILDREN'S DEFENCE DAY. For the first time I want to share with all kind people who love my husband and always remember him, some family photos of little Russell's happy childhood :) These are my most favorite photos. Especially the first one: 1960 - Russell's grandfather, his mom's dad, holding Russell wrapped in diapers in his arms. A meeting of two generations - grandfather and grandson. Grandpa played one of the key roles in what kind of Man with a big kind brave heart his grandson grew up to be. During World War II, Russell's grandfather was a tank commander in General Patton's army. It was he of their family who LIBERATED the future from Nazism along with the Soviet soldiers, PROTECTED the birth of his daughter in the future, and his grandchildren. By his example of good character, by real heroic actions, he raised his grandson right. Russell's grandfather formed a good solid core of his personality, thanks to which in the aftermath in most of the ways of self-education Russell became a deep multifaceted man, capable of heroic deeds. That is why he could not but come to us in Donbass in 2014. He came to defend first and foremost the most vulnerable - children. So that children would be born in our country. That our children have a happy childhood with living parents, grandparents, favorite pets, bicycles, fun games and holiday gatherings. Until the last moment in his life, his eyes filled with tears at the news of another child's death from shelling by Ukro/NATO Nazis. The cause of his Grandpa and Russell himself must be continued and completed with OUR VICTORY by those who must protect our future - our children of our country. Amen
P.S. The caption under the penultimate photo - I wish all the Ukrops shelling Donbass to have the same dream for the rest of your lives - the eyes of our children! Burn in hell, you, sons of bitches!
