Outdoor Ethiopia completes work on first bona fide #travel_magazine

The third edition of the Visit Oromia magazine produced by @OutdoorEthiopia for the Oromia Tourism Commission was officially inaugurated on the 10th of August, 2022 at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel. This was a monumental undertaking for our relatively small start-up and we couldn't have done it without the incredible support of many friends.

The bulk of the work was done by the team who believed in the vision of this magazine. Our amazingly talented team of creatives took a simple idea and made something beautiful out of it. To Arganné, Ashenafi, Abenezer, Million, Meti, Firaol, Natnael, and many more who have been directly or indirectly involved in the production of this 80-page volume that we're proudly showing off today, we say thank you for the amazing work you did.

Most of all, we would like to thank OTC for giving us this opportunity to produce something as important and beautiful as this magazine.

A tale of two regions for tourism

On Outdoor Ethiopia's first trip of 2023, we had the opportunity to partake in the Finfinne to Dallol Familiarization Trip that was jointly organized by the Oromia Tourism Commission and the Afar Regional State's Culture and Tourism Bureau. On this incredible journey, we had the chance to visit a whole host of interesting, strange, and breathtaking places from Awash National Park to the stunning Lake Artale, from the salt-encrusted Lake As'ale to the amazing and otherworldly wonders of Dallol, and the hypersaline Lake Afdera.

We are immensely grateful to the Oromia Tourism Commission for making the trip a reality and giving Outdoor Ethiopia the privilege of witnessing all of these beautiful destinations. By its nature, tourism is something that spans across borders and requires collaboration between regions.

We, as some of the industry's storytellers, are more than willing to collaborate to help further the development of the tourism sector in our country.
