Thanks for the kind words about “the cabin in the woods” breakdown. I am really resonating with the long form focused episodes made for a private audience that I can really take to places I normally don’t.
The next one is “the wall.” It’s about Pink Floyd’s album as well as the show “counterpart.” I’m just giving you the heads up because there will be “spoilers.”
This show is about the Berlin Wall but is set in sci fi land simply because people can’t emotionally handle what the Berlin Wall actually was.
“In a galaxy far far away” is the setup that allows people to willingly suspend their confusion and fear that would set in if it was called “history” or “actual facts.”
And that’s fine. This is why I do these behind a paywall now. I always resisted because I never wanted to do anything for money. I wanted to reach as many people as possible. I only made this choice because it’s not for money. I’m not supposed to show this stuff to bystanders. Especially with the detail and thorough presentation that I do with these. The distracted comedic cadence I do on streams is more acceptable, and even those get me kicked out of banks.
I not only don’t find this stuff scary or confusing, I find it extremely elevating and proof of a benevolent order.
This show and Pink Floyd’s the wall are about a very specific and historical event and it’s psychological and spiritual fallout.
I also think there are people that want to tell this story but know people can’t handle it. So they tell it in art and music.

My wife’s family loves golf. So for my son’s bday today I set up a little putting green.

I’m just pointing this out to show the nature of comedy. I try to make fun of the aspects of something that the people that do it also don’t like. I don’t actually “hate” the joke themes I do every week. I just trigger people with no sense of humor.

I really don’t care as much as you think Ian just tone it down a little. It’s the thorn thirst that really rubs people the wrong way. Even lady Gaga’s male backup dancers are like “woah, Ian. You’re giving us aggressive sodomites a bad name. Can you at least try o blend in with the breeders.”
