Activists were out in Leeds centre this afternoon distributing food parcels to the homeless for Harvest Festival.
We also took the time to listen to some of their stories including one woman who’s being exploited by an agency employed by national retailer H&M.
We’ll be following up with the agency to make sure she gets paid what she’s owed.

Local leafleting leads to local action.
A previous unknown made contact via our email saying he’d like some help regarding a broken bus stop that the council and transport providers had failed to clean up following a breakage on Friday.
We put him in contact with the activist nearest to him and this morning they made short work of making the area safe.
Every area would benefit from a team of local PA activists who believe in actions, not words.
As council services fail, as private companies ignore you, it’ll become ever more important to rely on those next to you. Make sure they’re your people.

Patriotic Alternative made a strong showing at this weekend's John Tyndall Memorial hosted by Heritage & Destiny.
We enjoyed thought-provoking and energising speeches from, among others, our own Laura Towler, BDP's Dr. Jim Lewthwaite and the inimitable Isabel Peralta from Spain.
Activists attended from Wales, North-West, Midlands and Yorkshire. Great to see old friends and make new ones amongst the crowd. We can expect videos soon, we'll be sure to share them as they drop.

Justice For Charlene Downes – October 8th
On the 8th of October, a protest is being held in Blackpool, Lancashire, to demand justice for Charlene Downes. 14-year-old Charlene, a victim of a Blackpool ‘grooming gang’, disappeared on 1 November 2003. Lancashire Constabulary believe she was murdered within hours of her disappearance. No-one has ever been convicted of her murder, and her body has never been found.
Patriotic Alternative will be joining the protest. We hope to see you there.

Yesterday, on its second birthday, Patriotic Alternative Scotland held its second annual conference in Stirling.
The packed conference went off without issue, and guests were treated to rousing speeches from some of PA Scotland's own officers, Sam Melia, Laura Towler, and special guest David Clews.
PA is growing every year, and our annual conferences allow us to reflect on the past year, break bread and network with fellow activists, and to motivate our people for another year of growth and activism.
