Happy Republic Day

The legendary singer who mesmerized all of us with her beautiful voice and melodious tunes has passed on to another realm. Heaven gained a melodious angel today. The huge void left by her cannot be filled. The only consolation we have are the beautiful songs left behind by her. Words cannot express the impact she had on billions of people around the world. We are really blessed to have lived in a time that had such a legendary artist. I personally cannot imagine music as I have experienced it without her immense contribution to it. It was my dream to one day meet and / or perform alongside her. That dream will forever remain a dream now. I know most of us never really met her or knew her personally but that in no way diminishes the impact she had on our lives. Whenever I am sad or have any problems in life, her songs are what bring me joy and heal my soul. Her beautiful voice is like ambrosia to the ears. I cannot express how sad I was when I first heard the news. At first I couldn't believe it. But not believing in something doesn't make it false. Sooner or later you have to confront the truth. Anyways, let us cherish the beautiful memories of her. That's all we have left now.

One of her greatest songs says "Saare jahan se achha, Hindustan humara". Well, it is the best because of legendary people like her. We have a lot to learn from her life and she shall always be remembered as the voice of India.

We miss you Lata didi. Wherever you are, we will always remember you.
