Fix your SD cards without formatting that require formatting by getting rid of the problematic file.

Firstly, we need two things: We need Root (Magisk,KernelSU, or anyone) access and we need a Terminal. I can recommend Termux/Termux Monet as a terminal (if your Android version supports it).

In this scenario I will explain how to diagnose the FAT file system and how to detect and remove the damaged file and move on

First of all, we need to make sure that we are looking at the correct disk and for this purpose you can use commands like lsblk, fdisk -l, etc.

ls -al /dev/block/mmcblk1*

In this scenario, I am using the example of a device with EMMC memory and an SD card port, but proceed with caution as you may encounter different scenarios

Type fsck_msdos /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 and check the state of the file system. It will probably tell us the name of the faulty files.

Mount the disk to a temporary location

mount /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /mnt
cd /mnt

delete the relevant file with rm -f, for example:

rm -f Downloads/secret.mp4

Then remove the disk

cd
umount /mnt

Try removing the SD card and reconnecting it, if the error is gone it should connect fine, if not, take another look

You can do it on other file systems but you need to use something else instead of fsck_msdos

fsck.exfat → exfat
fsck.f2fs → f2fs
fsck.ntfs → ntfs
fsck_msdos → fat16/fat32

NOTE: This will not completely solve your problem, so try rebuilding the file system or getting a new SD card soon.
