this is an interesting point. but if it's meant to be convincing to pro-lifers, then it fundamentally misunderstands their position.
they think abortion is a direct extension of infanticide. they think society didn't get gentler, it just found a way to make the same atrocities more palatable.
"if you don't want me to raise a kid, then let me have an abortion" doesn't work for them either, obviously. they would want you to just not risk having kids, or carry them to term and put them up for adoption or whatever. and the quality of the adoption/foster system is only a secondary issue to them, because in their minds, this child has at least survived being murdered
it's very easy to dunk on pro lifers like this. it's much harder to actually understand their viewpoint and make an argument that could ever convince one of them
