The Israeli attack on South Lebanon has led to the closure of around 100 schools; some were directly bombed, others bulldozed, and many suffered severe damage.
This attack forced the Ministry of Education to find urgent alternatives, including relocating students and teachers to other schools as the new academic year began.
Despite the fragile ceasefire that has lasted ten months, the Israeli army continues to target schools. Rebuilding and reopening these schools remains a major challenge, threatening the future of an entire generation of students.

A US federal judge permanently barred the cyberintelligence firm NSO Group from accessing Metaโs WhatsApp platform, following a ruling issued yesterday. The decision also reduced a previous multimillion-dollar damages award granted to Meta in May.
Judge Phyllis Hamilton concluded that NSO Groupโs spyware still posed a threat to WhatsApp users and approved Metaโs request for a permanent injunction. However, she also ruled that the original $167 million jury award was excessive and must be adjusted according to legal standards for proportional compensation, ultimately reducing it to just over $4 million.
โTodayโs ruling bans spyware maker NSO from ever targeting WhatsApp and our global users again. We applaud this decision that comes after six years of litigation to hold NSO accountable for targeting members of civil society. It sets an important precedent that there are serious consequences to attacking an American company," Will Cathcart, Head of WhatsApp, said in a statement.
