Investigation shown for acute limb pain
Image Description:
The waveform shown is a triphasic Doppler waveform, typical of vascular studies.
β Correct Answer: b. Ultrasound Doppler
Explanation:
Ultrasound Doppler is the most commonly used non-invasive test for evaluating arterial or venous flow in limbs.
Triphasic waveforms indicate normal arterial flow.
Used in cases of limb ischemia, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and peripheral artery disease (PAD).
Digital subtraction angiography is invasive.
Plethysmography measures volume changes.
MR angiography is expensive and not used first-line.

Tramline calcification is a feature of Sturge-
Weber syndrome, and describes the pattern of
calcification seen on skull radiology.
MRI shows intracranial calcification which is
suggestive of Sturge-weber syndrome in the
background of seizures, mental retardation and
focal neurological deficits.
Sturge-Weber syndrome:
β¦ It is also called as encephalotrigeminal
angiomatosis.
. It is a phakomatosis characterised by facial
port wine stains and pialangiomas.
