Projects of the Challenge Foundation presented for the first time at the G20 platform
The Foundation for the Development of Scientific and Cultural Relations "Challenge" (https://www.tg-me.com/vyzovaward) took part in the G20 events in Pretoria (South Africa). The Foundation's participation in the international format, which brings together the world's largest economies, has become a significant step towards strengthening scientific cooperation and developing dialogue.
This year, 632 applications were received for the Challenge Award, of which 155 were from foreign scientists from China, India, Brazil, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Canada, the United States and Mexico. The geography of participants is expanding, reflecting the growing interest in joint research and the exchange of scientific ideas.
Particular attention in the G20 discussions is paid to promoting the role of women in science and reducing the gender gap in innovation and technology.
The names of the 2025 Challenge Award winners will be announced in December. The award ceremony will be held at the Manege Exhibition Hall (https://moscowmanege.ru/ru/) in Moscow.

Russian House in Dhaka Hosts "Russia-Bangladesh: Two Nations, One Screen"

On October 9, 2025, the Russian House in Dhaka held a special film screening organized in collaboration with the Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival.
The program featured contemporary short films by Russian and Bangladeshi directors.
Festival Chair Sadia Mehjabin emphasized the importance of cultural exchange between the two countries.
The event was attended by students, young filmmakers, and representatives of cultural organizations.

From the very first days of the Great Patriotic War, Arkhangelsk became a frontline city and the closest rear base for the Karelian Front. From June 1941 to June 1943, enemy aircraft carried out 465 raids, dropping tens of thousands of incendiary and high-explosive bombs on the city.
Despite the constant threat, Arkhangelsk remained a key port through which vital Allied supplies were delivered under Lend-Lease. It was here that the White Sea Military Flotilla was based, ensuring the safety of northern sea routes.
During the war, more than 4 million tons of cargo were delivered to Arkhangelsk, including 2,312 aircraft, 3,428 tanks, 819 armored vehicles, 717 guns, and 49 torpedo boats. This assistance played a huge role in achieving the Great Victory.
For its services during the Great Patriotic War, Arkhangelsk was awarded the Order of Lenin in 1984 and was honored with the title “City of Military Glory” in 2009.

В программе — более 50 игровых и документальных картин из России и других стран, посвященных осмыслению истории России в ХХ веке, рассказывающих о великом наследии русского зарубежья.
Ряд показов будут приурочены к юбилейным датам:
• 160-летию со дня рождения Патриарха Московского и всея Руси Тихона
• 120-летию со дня рождения лауреата Нобелевской премии по экономике Василия Леонтьева
• 100-летию со дня рождения поэта и переводчика Наума Коржавина
• 85-летию поэта Иосифа Бродского
Также зрителей ждут специальные программы, посвящённые 80-летию Победы в Великой Отечественной войне и проведению Специальной военной операции.
