Foreign Minister and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani in an exclusive interview with Al-Ikhbariya TV: the transformation the Syrian diplomacy witnessed recently marks a turning point in representing Syria in a dignified and natural manner.
Al-Shaibani:“We are working to address the diplomatic legacy of the defunct regime, which relied on coercive diplomacy. We have succeeded in transforming Syrian diplomacy into one that is open to dialogue and cooperation.”
Al-Shaibani: “Syria has not aligned itself with any camp or axis and has not been hostile toward anyone. We have spoken with everyone and made it clear that we seek a balanced diplomacy as much as possible. At this point, we are planning Syria’s diplomacy rather than merely responding to it, in order to place Syria back on the international map.”
Al-Shaibani: “Dealing with Russia has been gradual and no new agreements have been signed with the Russian side. Agreements between Russia and the previous regime are suspended and we do not accept them”.
Al-Shaibani:” We reject any form of division or federalism. This does not require discussion or negotiation”.
Al-Shaibani: “Agreements Signed Between Russia and the Former Regime are Suspended.”
