🌍 Celebrating 80 Years of the United Nations with President Taye Atske Selassie leading Ethiopia at the 80th UN Assembly 🌍

Today, we join the world in marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations in New York. This year’s theme, “Better Together: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development, and Human Rights,” reminds us that collaboration is the key to a brighter future for all.

We celebrate the UN’s enduring commitment and the ongoing work of countries and leaders, including Ethiopia’s delegation, in shaping a world where hope shines for everyone. With President Taye Atske Selassie leading Ethiopia at the 80th UN Assembly, he highlighted Ethiopia's steadfast dedication to the UN’s mission. He called for global unity in addressing pressing challenges such as poverty, hunger, and climate change.

His presence underscored the importance of collective action and reinforced Ethiopia’s role as a committed partner in advancing the goals of peace, development, and human rights worldwide.
