Former Disney boss launches Web3 game studio with Marvel, Star Wars talent

The team’s first game, PlanetQuest, has reportedly onboarded over 200K NFT holders.

A team of Hollywood and gaming luminaries have joined forces to launch a AAA web3 games studio in the United Arab Emirates. 

Dubbed “Galactic Entertainment Publishing,” the recently launched venture represents the first arm of parent company Galactic Group.

The firm’s inaugural endeavor, PlanetQuest, has been in active development since 2022. Loren Roosendaal, CEO of Galactic Entertainment and founder of PlanetQuest, told, despite the game not having launched yet, it’s installed a massive userbase:

“PlanetQuest passport holders account for over 300,000 connected wallets, over 200,000 of which hold one or more PlanetQuest NFTs.”

Maison Margiela Debuts in Web3 Fashion with MetaTABI Collection

Maison Margiela, in collaboration with digital fashion house The Fabricant, has introduced its inaugural web3 fashion collection, the MetaTABI Collection.

Combining physical products with digital experiences through NFTs, the collection offers two editions: 15 Tier 1 NFTs in white and 1,500 Tier 2 NFTs in black.

Tier 1 holders will receive a pair of customized Tabi boots with hand-painted gold finish, and Tier 2 holders will receive with a leather wallet housing a printed crypto wallet number.

Fansland to Issue 40K+ NFT Tickets for Bangkok Music Festival

Fansland is elevating the live event experience by unveiling an NFT ticketing system for its large music festival in Bangkok, taking place from May 4 to 5. 

Following a successful $10 million funding round led by IME, Linear Capital, and Falablock, the fan-centric blockchain ecosystem is set to host the Fansland Festival at the IMPACT Arena — one of Thailand’s largest indoor concert halls. 

Around 40,000 attendees are expected to gather at IMPACT for two days of live performances by renowned artists like PSY (Gangnam Style), Edison Chen, Henry Lau, and Chuang Asia, among others.
