I have the best luck finding second hand art supplies.
I stopped by one of those booth type markets today. I expected it to be vintage and antiques, but it was crafts and imports.
In one of the craftier booths I found these bags of beads for $6 apiece. Great buy, and I look forward to sorting them.

Sorting beads is one of my favorite nervous system regulation activities. I'll turn on music or a podcast and turn off my brain.
My beads are unpacked, and I could definitely use some nervous system rest, so this might be one of the things I get up to this weekend.

I was really struggling earlier in the day. Tired. Brain fog. My nervous system was ‼️‼️‼️
I treated myself to some second hand shopping, as mentioned above. Spent some time in my new studio organizing.
When it cooled off outside I did some weeding in my front flower bed. Had a nice chat with the neighbor and met her daughter. Really lovely.
Did some grocery shopping and now I actually have some food in the house. I ate nutritious things this evening.
I feel much better.

I'm living alone for the first time in 17 years. It's a big adjustment. I'm learning a lot from this experience.
I was delighted to discover this morning that there is a church near my house that does the Westminster Chime. It's the first time I've heard it, so maybe they only do it on the weekends?

I fell off the wagon with my yoga over the last few months. I can't really explain it. I just.... couldn't. I maintained my 15 minutes of gentle morning stretching until right before the move, and then I fell off the wagon with that too.
Yoga is important to me. I knew I would eventually come back to it. Today I did my first 30 minute set and I thought I would be a lot rustier than I was. I was pleased to see I haven't lost too much.

I fell off the wagon with my yoga over the last few months. I can't really explain it. I just.... couldn't. I maintained my 15 minutes of gentle morning stretching until right before the move, and then I fell off the wagon with that too. Yoga is important…
I did my first plow pose in months this morning and got my toes all the way to the floor. I can't believe I haven't lost that flexibility.
I'm coming up on my summer cabin retreat in a couple weeks, and it can't get here too soon. I'm exhausted.
I had big plans to get a bunch of stuff done around the house yesterday. I'm only about 50% unpacked at this point, and I still have deep cleaning I want to do. I got up early and finished weeding my front flower beds and did my yoga and then I just.... crashed. My body said "nope".
So I spent the rest of yesterday getting caught up on Doctor Who (because Rose is coming back! Sort of!)
I took a hot bath. I used ice packs on my sore parts. I tried to take a nap. I rested.
My house is full of wonderful natural light, and I figured out yesterday that I'm going to need to pick a space that I can turn into a dark space when I'm overstimulated, because what I really needed was a cave. I'll probably do that with the guest room.
