I am absolutely whipped after the reception last night. Just dog tired. 3 hours on my feet, talking to SO MANY people, and often answering the same questions over and over again. What's my process? What kind of adhesives do I use? How do I source my supplies?

I had several people show up who promised that they would come. A couple that didn't. My favorite visitors of the night were my next door neighbors. They didn't know ahead of time what my art looks like. They spent at least an hour at the gallery, asking questions, taking pictures, face timing family members to show them the exhibit.

Mrs. Nextdoor had one particular piece she kept coming back to, and if it doesn't sell during my show I'm going to give it to her.

I have to get some yard work done today. I am so beyond tired that I would love to just sit on the couch and watch movies and play Minecraft.

Today is concert day! The weather couldn't be any more perfect for this event. I took tomorrow off work, because I know I'm going to want to sleep late tomorrow.

I've got family coming to visit over the next 3 weekends to see my show and spend some quality time. So after I sleep in tomorrow I'm going to work on getting ready for company.

The festival yesterday was really fun, but boy am I glad I took today off. 9 hours of live music.

I liked Bush the best. I wish Candlebox had played more from Lucy.

I generally prefer indoor venues over outdoor venues, but this wasn't bad. It was really well organized. There was a strong security presence. They had regular trash patrols.

It was an excellent people watching opportunity. So many different flavors of human.

It's funny how at these long events, if you stay in one place you end up forming alliances with the strangers next to you. We posted up against a fence at the back of the VIP area, which allowed us to lean and to crouch and stuff to give our legs a break. After a while, the whole fence filled up, and if you didn't have someone watching your spot when you went to the bathroom you'd come back and find it gone. So we allied with the people standing next to us and held spots for each other. Just a little temporary tribe.
