The Captain of the Port is establishing a safety zone in the near shore region of the Hazard Area in the Gulf of America extending to the 12NM line and all navigable waters of South Bay on October 13, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. CST (with backup dates of October 14 – 19, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards associated with rocket launching activities that may include free falling debris and/or descending rockets or rocket components under various means of control.
