एक टूटा हुआ तारा
और ऐसे ही मेरा ये मन हारा।
अब पुराने दिन बहुत याद आते है,
दिल में उमंग थी
कड़ी मेहनत थी
आंखो में सपने टिमटिमाते थे
बातों में उत्साह झलकता था
अपनी खुद की नज़र मैने
खुद से कई बार उतारी थी।

सालों तपे, महीने गंवाए
और दिनों का तो हिसाब भी नही रखा
हिसाब रखता था तो बस ये की
कितने पर्चे हल किए, कितने कलम खाली किए
कौन सी किताब पढ़नी है
और कहां से मार्गदर्शन लेना है

बस एक दिन और सब खाक!
रात में आसमान देख रहा हूं,
इतने विशाल ब्रह्मांड में ये कितनी मामूली बात होगी कि बस एक परीक्षा नही निकली।

एक तारे ने दूसरे तारे से कहा
ये कहां की बात है? किस गृह की?
किस उपग्रह की?
क्या ये वाकई इतनी बड़ी बात है की पूरे ब्रह्मांड को इसकी खबर होनी चाहिए!
क्या किसी का मन इतना उदास है!

और मेरे मन ने कहा,
वाकई मैं हार गया या अभी भी कुछ मुझमें शेष है?
मैं फिर से कुम्हार के चाक से बिखर गया हूं
लेकिन हूं तो अभी भी इस कुम्हार के हाथों में।
समय शायद अभी और लगेगा
लेकिन एक दिन तुम्हारा ही समय होगा।
आंसुओं से सींचो और फिर से कर्म में लग जाओ।
तुम में अभी भी आग है।

और ब्रह्मांड के लिए जब तुम्हारे जीत के परचम  लहरा रहे होगे,
तब भी एक मामूली बात ही होगी।

लेकिन खास बात पता है, ब्रह्मांड के लिए क्या है?
कि एक शख्स है कही किसी कोने में
जिसका अस्तित्व बहुत सूक्ष्म है।
लेकिन उसकी जिंदादिली, साहस और आत्मविश्वास से इस ब्रह्मांड में बहुत सी बड़ी बड़ी घटनाऐं हो रही है...
जैसे किसी पेड़ का झूमना,
एक कली का खिलना,
कही मेघों का बरसना,
अनसुलझे रहस्यों का सुलझना,
और तुम्हारा खुश रहना।

[Just to add an example: If the question is very tough, the options would be easy. So to say, if the question is highly factual like NSSO ones, the options are such that even if you know nothing about 3 statements but know that one statement is definitely not correct, 3 options can be eliminated.]
