There is a difference between attachment and caring. Care for your body, don’t be attached to your body; care your family, but don’t be attached to your family. The moment you care, you will contribute; the moment you care, you will connect wisely. The moment you are attached, your subject gets superimposed on the object. Attachment speaks of your qualities that you nourish; attachment speaks of the lower center in you. Caring speaks of the higher centers in you. The lower center operates from attachment while the higher center operates from caring energy.

Let go of what has passed. Let go of what may come. Let go of what is happening now. Don't try to figure anything out. Don't try to make anything happen. Relax, right now, and rest.

The more expectations you have for a relationship, the more likely it is to go awry.
When a relationship feels difficult, examine it closely.
Might it be that one of you is expecting too much?

Nothing is born, nothing is destroyed. Away with you dualism, your likes and dislikes. Every single thing is just One Mind. When you have perceived this, you will have mounted the Chariot of the Buddhas.

“Before a dream is realized, the Soul of the World tests everything that was learned along the way. It does this not because it is evil, but so that we can, in addition to realizing our dreams, master the lessons we’ve learned as we’ve moved toward that dream. That’s the point at which most people give up.”

One day, I asked Granny, “Why do these snakes have to lose their skin?” Her reply was full  of wisdom. I realize now that she was speaking of more than snakes.
“If snakes do not shed their skin,” she replied,
“they cannot grow. They will suffocate in their old skin.” I often remember her words. Today we too need to grow.

An exceptional relationship is not
one with a good beginning
but one with a good ending.
Relationships often begin accidentally,
but when it comes to ending them,
we usually have choices.
Choose the ending wisely.

Only when the mind is still, tranquil, not expecting or grasping or resisting a single thing, is it possible to see what is true. It is the truth that liberates, not your effort to be free.

Sastric (scriptural) knowledge is unlimited, and the arts to be learned are many; the time we have is short, and our opportunities to learn are beset with obstacles. Therefore select for learning that which is most important, just as the swan drinks only the milk in water.

Emotions energize the area of focus. If you want to get somewhere in a hurry, just add some emotional energy to it. Emotion shortens the distance between the experience and the experiencer, between the dreamer and the desired.

Mindfulness gives you the inner space and quietness that allow you to look deeply, to find out who you are and what you want to do with your life. You won’t feel the need to make yourself run after meaningless pursuits anymore. You’ve been running, looking for something, because you think that thing is crucial for your peace and happiness. You push yourself to achieve this and that condition so that you can be happy. You believe you don’t have enough conditions to be happy right now, and so you develop the habit many people have, of constantly running after one thing or another. “I cannot be peaceful now, I cannot stop and enjoy things now, because I need more conditions before I can be happy.” You actually stifle the natural joie de vivre that is your birthright. But life is full of wonders, including wondrous sounds. If you can be here, if you can be free, then you can be happy right here and right now. You don’t have to run anymore.

What are you doing with your life by J Krishnamurti

Who are you?
What are you?
What do you want from life?

One of the world's great philosophical teachers, Krishnamurti, offers his inspiring wisdom on many of life's hurdles from relationships and love, to anxiety and loneliness.

He answers such questions as 'What is the significance of life?' and 'How do I live life to the full?' to reveal the best way of being true to yourself.

Read by millions from all walks of life, Krishnamurti shows us there is no path, no higher authority, no guru to follow, and that ultimately it is our own responsibility as to how we live our lives.

There is a flow to life that you can intuitively tune in to. When you surrender to this, you will be carried toward the people, places, and situations that you were meant to experience and learn from. Divine timing happens when you stay in touch with this flow.
Sometimes, though, divine timing may differ from your ego’s timing. If, according to your ego, a goal isn’t materializing quickly enough, be patient and trust the rhythms of your life. Trying to force matters or pressure people will usually backfire.
