*Changing Dress But Not Being Serious!*
Simply by changing dress, one does not improve unless he seriously takes the principles of devotional service. But in the Kali-yuga, they'll think, "Because I have changed my dress, I have become a big sannyasi." You see? "Because I have got a sacred thread, now I am a brahmana." No. There must be regular training.

Serve The Servant!
To serve the servant of Krsna is better than to serve directly Krsna, because if the servant of Krsna promises something, if the servant of Krsna says, "I'll take you to Krsnaloka," you must go there.
- From Srila Prabhupada's lecture on Srimad- Bhagavatam 7.9.29 -- Mayapur, March 7, 1976

All Perfections Come From The Holy Name
The Lord and His name are the same. This will be understood clearly when the coverings in your heart are removed. By chanting without offenses you will personally realize that all perfections come from the holy name.

Better Than Sannyasa!
So far as your working engagement is concerned, certainly you are not a karmi. Any person whose constant occupation is Krishna Consciousness, he is not a karmi; he is a devotee in all circumstances. So you should accept the best source of monetary income and use it for Krishna. And that is better than sannyasa. So stick to your job and use it for Krishna Consciousness. You are not a karmi.
- From Srila Prabhupada's letter to Gopala Krsna -- Bombay 4 April, 1971
