This video is like a high budget TV history / travelogue documentary, with a fabulous script and narration, and extraordinary footage, it's amazing that people can fund and produce something like this independently and put it on YouTube. This could go on any TV channel as is.
Anyway, check it out.

The Folkton Drums
These three carved chalk cylinders were found placed behind the head and hips of a child's skeleton in a round barrow (burial mound).
The elaborate designs are similar to the decoration on some Late Neolithic and Beaker pottery, as well as with the engraved patterns on Early Bronze Age sheet goldwork. The 'drums' are unique, and their use unknown.
Later Neolithic/Copper Age, about 2500-2000 BC
Folkton, North Yorkshire, England

Had a pleasant sit down with Tom Roswell, aka Survive the Jive, during our travels in Iceland for an interesting conversation about Paganism, Christianity and why people in our modern era are drawn toward traditional expressions of religion.

Excerpt from Orosius' history of Rome “History Against the Pagans” (written in 417 AD at St. Augustine’s request, 7 years after Rome was sacked) which is intended to show that Rome’s golden age was actually worse than the present.

By cutting off the free flow of waters, India is embodying the Vedic dragon Vritra (who may embody drought or the irrigation system of the IVC culture) which prevented the flowing of the rivers until, answering prayers, the Mighty Indra destroyed it and let the waters flow freely:
Thou slewest Ahi (Vritra) who besieged the waters, and duggest out their all-supporting channels.
3 The insatiate one, extended, hard to waken, who slumbered in perpetual sleep, O Indra,—
The Dragon stretched against the seven prone rivers, where no joint was, thou rentest with thy thunder.
4 Indra with might shook earth and her foundation as the wind stirs the water with its fury.
Striving, with strength he burst the firm asunder, and tore away the summits of the mountains.
5 They ran to thee as mothers to their offspring: the clouds, like chariots, hastened forth together.
Thou didst refresh the streams and force the billows: thou, Indra, settest free obstructed rivers.

May day celebrations in Britain, particularly in the West Country, are notably pagan in their aesthetics. This documentary looks at one such celebration in Cornwall and one in Devon. Each very different but clearly both containing rites of pagan origin.

Interesting that in Uppsala, Oxford, Torrington and Padstow there exist traditions of drinking alcohol from breakfast onwards on May morning (Valborg aka May -eve morning in Uppsala). I wonder if that is a coincidence or is a really old custom?

This Yamnaya themed design is available on shirts and jumpers in my new store. The striking artwork titled High Barrow by Ukrainian artist Valentin Kolontay depicts various attributes of the Yamnaya culture with the Kernosovskiy idol in the centre, standing above sacrificial oxen skulls and with a solar wagon being drawn across the sky behind. Very Indo-European indeed!
