Tune in for something a bit different. Sean Cuddy was featured on this channel a short time ago, but the audio was pretty poor.
So, I decided to attend his LIVE Storytelling that takes place on Sundays* at 4 PM in Sin É on Ormond Quay (highly recommended!)
In the second half of his longer show, he shared 3 captivating stories about Cú Chulainn, including "How Cú Chulainn Got His Name", "The Cattle Raid of Cooley", and the sad tale of the "Death of Cú Chulainn".
Click play, sit back, relax, and allow yourself to be transported into the misty and mythical past of ancient Ireland.
AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS ONLY UNTIL THURSDAY 5TH OF JUNE AT 8 PM IRISH TIME.

Spirits are a part of our faith. Rusalki, leshy, domovoy, vodyaniki, villi.
Spirits are everywhere and can interact with us.
We should praise the spirits who behave benevolent toward mankind and respect the ones who don't like people. Read and understand the spirits. They are everywhere.

"Когда посещаете могиле. Дайте мертвому подарок и помните славу предков и героев. Если посмотрите на крышу на могиле- это Голубец, который защищает могилу от природы и мертвый может отдыхать и ценить подарок"
When you visit a grave. Give the dead a gift and remember the glory of the ancestors and heroes. If you look at the grave on top of the grave. That is a golubets which protects the dead from the elements and the dead can rest and enjoy the gifts.

In Russia the traditional sauna “Banya” log steam bath was and still is a significant part of Russian culture. It predates Christianity, and shows up in Russian/Slavic pagan mythology and folklore. Russians have a mythological being that’s connected to Russian Banya steam bath house called “Banik”. And Russians also look at their banyas as a shrine and the banya experience can be for cleaning, healing, social interactions, but also for shamanic purposes. Russian women traditionally have given birth in their banya steam bath houses, because of its connection to water and the liminal space for the child’s soul to easily pass into our earthly realm. The banya/Russian bathhouse, was a central part of cultural rituals surrounding life, death, and other key events. Russian banyas are distinct from a Finnish sauna by its use of much higher humidity and a wood-burning stove that heats both the steam room and a water boiler.

Everyone has heard of the "American Dream" — but Finns, too, have a dream: a lakeside sauna (or one by the sea or a river; or at the very least access to a sauna).
And with 3.2M saunas in a land with 5.6M people, I'd say we're living the dream.
Instead of trying to explain to foreigners the meaning and value of sauna, I give you the words of a befuddled Swede from 1776:
“They even connect the sauna with their theology and think the sauna building is some kind of shrine.”
