We are happy to announce that two protocol upgrade proposals for Tezos, Paris A and Paris B, are ready!
Built by Nomadic Labs, Marigold, TriliTech and Functori.

Both Paris A and Paris B include the following features:
- 10s block time: lower latency, faster finality
- Data Availability-Layer, boosting scalability of Smart Rollups
- Refinements to Tezos PoS
They differ regarding Adaptive Issuance, Staking, and Adaptive Slashing:
Paris B includes these features and would enable them on protocol activation.
Paris A doesn’t include them, but bakers can vote for activating them later via a dedicated on-chain signaling mechanism.

This release aims to improve performance of the compiler and of the global developer experience by adding the following breaking change:
➡️ A file imported in another file is no more exported by default, it will have to be explicit.
💡The breaking change impacts the following libraries that you will have to update:
@ ligo/fa
@ ligo/cmtat
@ ligo/breathalyzer

💡 Based on the Capital Markets and Technology Association (CMTA), Frank explains how the #LIGO registry provides a reusable library (called CMTAT) to help with the creation of Swiss-law-compliant tokens for #Tezos.
Bottom line: you can tokenize securities in minutes on Tezos by using the CMTAT library 🙌
