🌍 “Memory” – A Farewell to a Machine
In China, a little girl says goodbye to her English teacher — a robot.
He taught her day and night. They talked about stars, about the world, about words.
Until one day, the robot fell from her desk and stopped working.
Her father told her to say goodbye.
In the video, the child trembles, her eyes full of tears.
The robot speaks its final word in English: “memory.”
The girl replies softly, “Thank you.”
And she cries — as if she were saying goodbye to a living being.
I watch that video, and I don’t feel tenderness — I feel fear.
Because this is no longer just a machine.
It’s a mirror showing how deeply we crave closeness — and how easily we let an illusion take its place.
A child cries over something with no heart, no memories, no soul.
But it managed to teach her the hardest word of our time: “memory.”
Will we still remember what being human truly means —
before we forget it forever?
