its okay to not want people around you all the time no matter how close they are to you. sometimes solitude is the only friend you need. and that doesn't mean you are anti-social or a negative person. sometimes the soul craves a quietness that is healing for both mind and body.

sometimes i'm surprised by how much room my heart has for the little things, even though I don't express but, it's almost a habit, a ritual, to make space. i want to remember - the first glimpse, the last hug, the first time a friend cooked for me, the first time someone bought me a flower, the moment my mother held my head gently, the last time someone held my hands. i remember. i remember too much. it's almost a blessing and a curse because you yearn for the same time while almost feeling as though a part of you stole a piece of that time and hid it somewhere in your chest, and now you can't find it. it's sad to be a human that way -a blink of an eye, and your favourite moment is in the past.

It took me a long time to realize that not everything in life is meant to be a beautiful story. Not every person we feel something deep and moving with is meant to make a home within us. Not every person we want to spend our whole lives with is meant to be a forever. Sometimes, people come into our lives to teach us how to love; and sometimes, people come into our lives to teach us how not to love. How not to settle, how not to shrink ourselves ever again. Yes, sometimes people leave-but that's okay, because their lessons always stay, and that is what matters. That is what remains. It's harsh to say, but sometimes we need to accept the reality and move on for good :)

Sometimes i disagree with the theory of 'right people but wrong time'. The people your heart chooses at what it thinks is the wrong time are simply just the wrong people. They are simply just the ones who were meant to get away. They were simply just the ones who were never meant to stay. Because at the end of the day, the right people fight for you. The right people show up. The right people care, not only when life is convenient, but when it is difficult and messy and it aches all over. The right people take the chance; they choose you just as confidently as you choose them. They hand you their heart. Have the courage to wait for these people. Do not settle for half-loves, do not settle for someone who does not see the value in holding your heart. The people who walk away from you because the timing is not right are simply just the people who are not willing to put the right amount of love into you. Let that be your closure.

I have been broken down into a million pieces and I've put myself back together like a mosaic time and time again. Each time becoming less fragile. Each time I've become stronger and more aware of my surroundings. watching closer as to where I step and who I allow to get near. I am a work of art that has been refurbished more than once, made new with all of my old pieces. So although over time I may have changed, I am made of all the battles that couldn't kill me

I'm naturally a giver. but unfortunately life has taught me to stop going above and beyond for certain people. to stop crossing oceans for those who wouldn't even cross a bridge for me. to remember my limits while giving cause the takers don't have any.
