Both King James I and the KJB Translators wanted "one more exact translation of the holy Scriptures into the Englifh tongue" (The Holy Bible/1611 KJB, The Epiftle Dedicatorie on Page 6 out of 1506), and the Holy Bible (which was and is also called from 1900s to today as the KJB) was translated from 1604-1611. This demolishes modern versionsists' claims of "King James I would support all modern versions and constant new translations".
Also, the KJB Translators knew that "we [we= the KJB Translators] shall be traduced by Papifh [Papish] perfons at home or abroad" (Roman Catholics) and "we shall be maligned by [self] felfe-conceited brethen". The KJB Translators knew both each other and King James I, and they foresaw the many accusations that people today make up on the KJB and King James I

The KJB translators did not promote modern versions but wrote:
" Truly, good Christian reader, we never thought from the beginning, that we should need to make a new translation, nor yet to make of a bad one a good one (for then the imputation of Sixtus had been true in some sort, that our people had been fed with gall of dragons instead of wine, with whey instead of milk); but to make a good one better, or out of many good ones, one principal good one, not justly to be excepted against."
(Page 16)
The notes never go against the KJB or the KJB Only position at all.
The KJB translators simply said they wanted to make a good one better, and out of many translations one principle good one. Nothing about for or against KJB Only in the above quote from Page 16 of the KJB Preface.
(Extra note: the KJB only position is use KJB only & this position is for English speakers & readers only; everybody else should read the Bible in their own langauge that they speak and read in)

If King James the first quoted both the Apostles John and Paul to prove his stance against fornication why would you think he'd be ok with fornicating with another male?
This is what he had to say on the matter:
King James also used the Apostle John and Paul's words to expose those that ungodly commit fornication as:
Basil Number 14 of the Basilikon Doron.

Erasmus was against backtranslating from Latin into Greek
He mentioned he did not do that practice in the book of Revelation in its Revelation 22:16-22 (Revelation's last 6 verses):
(See Page 85 out of 630)
(Opera, ix, 1706, col. 150)
[ Archive Link ]
Thus, Erasmus did not backtranslate at all and anyone who claims "Erasmus backtranslated [insert verse(s) names]" is a liar.

Non his contentus, impingit mihi flagitium impium, idque ante tempus, videlicet frequenter insulciens, si quid habet odiosius, quod in fine Apocalypsis, paucula verba adiecerim Graeco codici ex nostris Latinis.

βNot content with that, he [Lee] accused me of an impious crime.... that in the end of the Book of Revelation I added a small number of words in a Greek codex from our Latin copiesβ

Thus, Erasmus did not backtranslate at all and anyone who claims "Erasmus backtranslated [insert verse(s) names]" is a liar.
