🕯️ The Fast That Erases a Year of Sins

Ashura 1447 AH — July 5, 2025

The month of Muharram is a sacred door that opens every new Islamic year and its 10th day, Ashura, is one of the most powerful days to return to Allah with fasting, forgiveness, and faith.

📿 The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Fasting the day of Ashura, I hope from Allah, will expiate the sins of the past year.” — Sahih Muslim 1162

But our beloved Prophet ﷺ encouraged us to fast not just on the 10th, but either the 9th and 10th or 10th and 11th, to distinguish from the fasting of the Jews and to show more devotion.

🌙 Fasting Plan for Ashura 1447 AH:

Date Hijri Date Day Status

Friday, July 4, 2025 9 Muharram 1447 AH Tasu’a Sunnah to fast
Saturday, July 5, 2025 10 Muharram 1447 AH Day of Ashura Highly recommended. Sunday, July 6, 2025 11 Muharram 1447 AH Optional (extra Sunnah) Extra reward

Why Fast All Three Days?

Fasting on the 9th shows obedience to the Prophet ﷺ
Fasting on the 10th wipes out the sins of the entire past year
Fasting on the 11th adds an extra layer of protection and sincerity

🤲🏾 My Intention This Year:

To fast with a heart that needs healing. To remember Musa (AS) and the sea that split. To honor Imam Husayn (RA) and his unshakable truth. And to return to Allah barefoot, broken, but beloved.

Don't miss it. Don’t let the year begin without washing your soul. 📿
A powerful reminder ✨️
