The Main Group are the real villians

Rewatching TVD again, mainly cause can't sleep (first child l, just turned 2 weeks)

Most of the "Villians" in the show aren't near as bad as the Main group, and almost all of them are just reacting to stuff Damon and Stefan did.

Also every characters emotional scene is ruined by Elena's "how can I make this about me and my feelings" shit. Like even Alarics wife's death at their wedding was overshadowed by "Oh no, Elena's not waking up" Annoys the crap out of me. Honestly not seeing her in season 7 is a breath of fresh air.

Steroline VS Stelena

💚 Why Steroline (Stefan + Caroline) is Better:

1. Slow Burn & Realistic Growth

Steroline had one of the slowest burns in TVD, and that’s what makes them so earned. They started as genuine friends with no romantic tension. It wasn’t rushed or based on lust — it blossomed from trust, shared history, and support.
• Stefan comforted Caroline through her transition into a vampire.
• Caroline was the one person who never gave up on Stefan during his Ripper arcs.
• Their friendship laid a solid, believable foundation for a real relationship.

2. Mutual Respect & Stability

Steroline had way less drama than Stelena. Caroline called Stefan out when needed, but also loved and respected him for who he was — darkness and all.
• Stefan didn’t put Caroline on a pedestal like he did Elena. He saw Caroline as his equal.
• They truly grew together rather than apart.

3. Caroline’s Development Was Elevated

With Stefan, Caroline felt seen and validated. She wasn’t second to anyone. He chose her, fully and freely. Unlike Elena (who was always tied between brothers), Caroline never had to question her place in Stefan’s heart once he chose her.

4. Less Codependency

Stelena had that intense “you’re my everything” dynamic, while Steroline had balance. Caroline didn’t need Stefan, but she chose him. That’s a mature love — grounded in independence.

❤️ Why Stelena (Stefan + Elena) is Better:

1. First Love, Deep Emotion

Stelena was the epic, poetic love story. It was filled with intensity, emotional vulnerability, and that “meant to be” vibe. Their connection felt destined, and Stefan brought out Elena’s humanity at a time when she was spiraling from grief.
• “You won’t be sad forever, Elena.” That line alone? Iconic.
• Their scenes were soft, romantic, and drenched in emotion. Like a fairy tale… with blood.

2. True Good-Girl x Good-Guy Vibes

Stelena felt very wholesome in the earlier seasons. They were both trying to do the right thing — to stay grounded in their morality despite the supernatural chaos.
• Stefan challenged Elena ethically, not just emotionally.
• She made him want to be better without forcing it.

3. Elena Knew the Real Stefan First

Elena fell in love with who Stefan really was — ripper past and all — before he even fully embraced it. She chose him even knowing his darkness. That says a lot.

4. Undeniable Chemistry

From their very first scene, Stelena had an undeniable spark. Their love felt spiritual, even when things were messy. There’s something deeply romantic about that soulmate energy they had, especially in Seasons 1–3.

💔 Where Each Falls Short:

Steroline Weaknesses:
• Some fans felt their romance came too late, after too many ships.
• Caroline sometimes had to fight harder for Stefan emotionally than she should’ve.
• Their actual relationship timeline was short compared to their long friendship.

Stelena Weaknesses:
• Stefan idealized Elena and made her into a symbol of purity — which made their dynamic fragile.
• They lacked the mature communication that Steroline eventually developed.
• Once Elena became a vampire, their values started diverging fast.

If you want slow burn, best-friends-to-lovers, mutual growth, and adult-level respect → Steroline is your couple.
• If you’re into soulmates, love-at-first-sight, emotional highs and lows, and poetic passion → Stelena wins out.

It really comes down to what kind of love story you resonate with. Personally? Steroline feels like home. Stelena feels like a dream.

What was Klaus expecting?

What was Klaus expecting with his treatment of the hybrids? Eternal loyalty just cause he forcefully freed them from turning? Especially when he uses them as foot soldiers for menial tasks. He already had who knows how many compelled humans and vampires for that. There was no strategic thought. You want an eternally loyal army who acts half as a pseudo family and half as your bodyguards, you've got to give them something. Undoubtedly they all had hopes and dreams. You'd have thought Klaus would have the experience and intelligence to know he had to leverage that to keep them happy.

Treat your hybrids as slaves for menial jobs and they will try to rebel. Make them like you and all over a sudden they don't even have a reason to want to rebel. So stupid, especially after Tyler successfully breaks the bond. Dude is a 1000 years old and never met nor read Machiavelli.
