Season 4

Everytime I watch this show and I get to season 4 it’s always a hard watch. Between Caroline being overly invested to Stefan being in denial. I’ve seen a lot of people say that Caroline is justified in telling Stefan what Elena and Damon did, but I feel like that was just her butting in. I don’t think Stefan would want to know what his brother and ex did nonetheless hear it from Caroline. She also barely gave Elena 24 hours to even tell him before she told him. And then the dumb sire bond plot. It makes no sense how charlotte literally did what Damon told her on command but with Elena it seemed like she could decline it. Then Stefan acting like Elena liking Damon is because of the sire bond when Nandi told them that Elena had to have feelings for Damon prior to turning.

Stefan damn bear shoving the cure down her throat, because he thinks that’ll make her want to be with him again. I also can’t stand any of them when Elena turned her switch off, especially Elena. Maybe I’m just easily annoyed but this season is so messy.

Edit : I don’t get how Jeremy couldn’t control himself around vampires, especially Elena. I compare it to Connor, who could seemingly control himself around vampires

Behind the scenes, were the female cast on tvd and the originals treated poorly?

Its since come out some details on the behind the scenes treatment of the female cast

We knew for a long while Kat Graham was treated terribly and suffered racism from Julie Plec and Co.
That was not a new reveal, but stay with me.

In the 2025 book I was Feeling Epic by Samantha Highfill, Nina revealed she was not being paid on an even scale as Paul and Ian. She said the actual dollar amount didn't matter, it was about the idea and principle she was being paid less- as a female lead playing both Elena and Katharine (and even Amara and Tatia- in season 2 of the originals) .

Also revealed in the book was Candice being real life pregnant in season 7 and her struggles to protect her and her unborn child's health and safety. She said she was nervous to even tell the writers room she was pregnant. She had to negotiate and change a scene where originally they wanted to put her in a trunk of the car and had it closed with small holes to breath. She changed it to a wardrobe case with the door open and her hands tied. (doubling as a closet). She then had to fight to have a body double play the birth scene, as she was 7/8 months pregnant and feared playing a birth scene could trigger an early labor.

And thats just tvd

All of the female cast on the originals- except Freya (Riley Vokel) left the main cast. Claire left in season 1. (Danielle P- who played sophie- was killed off early in s1- but it probably was for plot.) Leah Pipes asked to leave in s3 because of internet bullies (personally I'm team Klaroline, but don't know what would prompt people to bully a real life actress, who in real life was married to another actor completely not related to the show). Danielle Campbell left the show as well in s3. Then in season 5 phoebe's character was killed off- personally still am unaware of why (plot or did phoebe ask?)

I find it interesting and sad that on tvd all 3 lead female actresses suffered, and then on the originals, you had many lead females leave.

What do you all think of this?

Damn it, s1 Alaric was such a good character. I think they ruined the potential that his character had the most, besides for Katherine

Just a rant. Which other characters do you think they ruined to the level of Alaric or Katherine?

How could Stefan drink his father’s blood?

I’m rewatching The Vampire Diaries and I’m currently on season 1, episode 20, the flashback episode where Stefan and Damon are transitioning into vampires.

There’s a scene where Stefan visits his father, they get into a fight, and Stefan accidentally injures him. His father starts bleeding, and since Stefan is in transition and needs human blood, he ends up feeding on him.

But here’s what I don’t get, Giuseppe Salvatore was supposedly full of vervain, right? How was Stefan able to drink his blood without being affected? Wouldn’t that have burned him or made it impossible to feed?

I'm currently watching Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries, and I'm having a hard time stopping myself from binge-watching. At first i didnt want to watch it but now I cannot stop watching. I just got to the point of Sheriff Forbes' death, and omg i could not stop crying. I now even purchased the first book and cannot wait to read it.

Season 7 is so bad

I think it’s the flash forwards? I like the heretics (shoutout to Nora)

But the flash forwards are weird when they are about a whole different plot than when they are showed. By the time we catch up and get to the huntress, it feels old.

The flashbacks when they are in the huntress plot are way better but the season is already doomed.

Also super weird to have 2 different storylines in 1 season, did we had that before? I’m not sure, but is weird af.

Why couldn’t Klaus simply compel Stefan?

I’m on season 3 currently and Stefan has hidden Klaus’s coffins. Klaus seems very frustrated with Stefan. Even if Stefan and Damon are on vervain, wouldn’t it be easy for him to wait for the vervain to leave their system and then compel them, him being the strongest and all?

Why I think Klaus was so nice to Caroline on her birthday

A lot of people feel like it came out of no where, but I think it makes sense. On episode 11 of season 3, Stephen took Klaus’ family and Klaus had no choice but to dagger Rebekah since she was mad at him for killing their mother. He had no one except his hybrids. He was isolated. His only friend made it his mission to get back at him through any means necessary. Stephen calls Klaus’ bluff and threatens to kill Elena if he doesn’t make his hybrids get out of town. Klaus gets humbled so hard here. This is the first time we see him bend a knee. I think this makes him realize he’s not so big and bad. Who would Klaus turn to at this time? Rebekah. Rebekah is the one who nurtures him. He even cried when he daggered her. I think the combination of having no one and getting his ego deflated makes him more empathetic to other people’s pain and struggles. He’s reminded he’s not above other people. We see him choose to be nice for the first time. I think he uses her as an outlet to recover from being owned by Stephen lmao. She just happened to need his help, and I think talking to her he happens to feel a connection. Okay, he didn’t just feel a connection. That boy was in love. He left a whole *ss gift with a card signed by hand. And why wouldn’t he fall for Caroline? She’s a selfless badass!!! That’s my speech.

Jewelry specific to TVDU. I own replicas of Caroline Forbes Salvatore’s daylight 💍s. I'm curious to know if anyone out there owns any stunning daylight 💍s or other daylight jewelry that aren’t 💍s. And what about those unique Gilbert 💍s? I’d ❤️ 2 hear your 💭 & see some photos if you have them!

What do yall think of Stefan?

Personally I don't really like him all that much, partly from what I've watched of the series and my mom who's liked it awhile longer than I have giving me some insight into the series like past the early season- so I'm wondering now what does the rest of the fandom think of him and his character his actions and all?
