Sire bond rant

TVD has always been regarded as a love triangle and it was evident in Season 3 that Elena fell for Damon before she was even turned. My only issue is the introduction of sire bond. When Stefan and Damon went to see a witch to break the sire bond, she said " A vampire only bonds with their Sire when she has human feelings for them" There was no need for that because even Stefan was already aware of that in Season 3. Sire bond may not have made Elena fall in
love with Damon but it highly influenced
her decision to break up with Stefan and
choose Damon. Elena had just finished
her transition and was a complete
emotional mess. Stefan tries every
method he know to make Elena feel
comfortable as a vampire. Try a normal
diet, drink from the bloodbags, hunt
animals so that Elena doesn't have to
think about feeding on humans. All of a
sudden, Damon's advice becomes the
final word. He said Elena should feel calm
and she does. Elena isn't able to drink
from the bloodbags at first and then
Damon is the ultimate saviour when he
suggests her to try it again. Damon tells
her to kill Connor and she does. Elena is
haunted by Connor's ghost and tries to
unalive herself. Stefan knew Damon was
the only person that Elena was trusting
enough at that point so he sent him to
help Elena calm down. Elena chose
Damon in Season 4 for the same reason
she chose Stefan in Season 1. Both
Salvatores made her feel alive when she
was most vulnerable. Even after Elena turned on her humanity back and chose Damon, her main reason towards choosing Damon is "Even in death, you're the one who make me feel alive the most". It felt like Elena only had an illusion of choice the whole time.

No one loved elena the way stefan did

What makes me sad about Stefan and Elena not being endgame. Stefan showed his love in all the little ways. He cared deeply and made Elena feel safe. he did all these small thoughtful things. He brought her to the waterfall and even climbed the hill with her.He made her coffee sometimes, brought her flowers,
he loved her family too. he treated Jeremy and Jenna like they were his own. He respected her choices and never forced her into anything. He didn’t want to make her a vampire just to keep her forever. he wanted her to have a full life. When he was under klaus's compulsion he made a call to elena. He didn't even speak but elena knew it was him. Their bond was strong. Klaus was over 500+ years. And he admitted that he had never seen love like stefan and elena in his lifetime. The writes thew all this. For me delena felt it was more about attraction and sexual tension.

Stefan didn't deserve the ending and it makes me sad everytime.

Why do SOME people think it's wrong to like an "evil"/"unredeemable" character?

Idk how many people actually think this but, I heard my friend briefly mention that they couldn't favourite a character if their actions aren't redeemable. When I say evil, I mean someone who killed many people. You wouldn't like a killer in real life, obviously, but this is FICTION. Does a character really need an acceptable, good reason to kill someone, or can they just be evil and not have sympathy for it? I'm typically drawn to characters in fiction who are somewhat antagonists and make the plot interesting, Klaus in TVD for instance, but I will never claim that he is "redeemable", because I don't agree with that. I understand why some people can't like a character due to them doing something awful, but at the same time it interests me more than a simple good person.(Obviously nothing like SA, that is wrong in fiction and IRL)
So I guess my question to be discussed is, do you think it is ok to like a character even if they aren't the best morally? And if you do or don't, why? (Sorry if this is slightly unrelated to TVD but you can mention it in your answer, I'm just curious about people's opinions)

"Maybe if you and I had met first."

I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THIS!

I'm rewatching the show for the first time since it ended, and I Was Feeling Epic just came out so I'm reading it at the same time. Obviously I know Damon and Elena end up together, and in the book, Julie Plec says she always intended for them to be together.

I am not a Delena fan. I used to rewatch the show on Netflix like once a year when it was airing, and once Delena started happening, I'd always go in thinking, "I'm going to get it this time. I'm going to look at Damon as a love interest and I'm going to get behind him and Elena." THAT NEVER HAPPENED. Watching the show now, like 10 years later, I STILL don't see the tension or sparks or anything between them. I am team Stelena through and through.

But the thing that bothers me the most about Delena is this whole "Maybe if you and I had met first" thing. I just read in the book that Julie intended this to be the big aha moment for their relationship - "they did meet first, Elena just doesn't remember!" BUT WHO CARES??? I don't understand why that changes ANYTHING. Because Damon and Elena spoke for two minutes on that street, it eclipses everything that she and Stefan went through for like two years and makes Damon the right choice? It's so shallow. It implies that Elena is only with Stefan because they met first.

I like to think that Elena meant "met first" as in instead of bumping into Stefan first on the first day of school, maybe she bumped into Damon first at the grill or something. Then yes, that could have changed things. But this whole erased meeting from the night her parents died is one of the dumbest details from the show.

how did Silas suddenly know Modern English after 2,000 years?

when Silas is revived by feeding on Jeremy, he suddenly speaks fluent English right away. but.. he had been desiccated for over 2,000 years. languages change so much over time, so how would he have learned modern English instantly.

for Qetsiyah it makes sense; since she was on the Other Side and could see / experience everything, so she could’ve picked it up. but Silas? unless we assume some kind of supernatural “ instant knowledge of time “.

what do you all think ? did i miss an explanation ?
