damon hugging stefan after coming back from the prison world was by far one of my favorite scenes that really showed how good their bond was

Does the supernatural genre dramas don't exist anymore
I think the genre of shows like supernatural, teen Wolf, vampire diaries, the originals, young Dracula, wolf blood I'm noticing them less.
I personally think it's just a decline of young adult geared to shows,
I would like to know what other people think. If you've noticed this 2 or I'm just overthinking.

Why do they act like the parents death is so not traumatic??
I’m rewatching for the millionth time since its fall and I can’t help but notice how insane everyone acts about elena’s parents death. Episode one after the Vicky gets bit by Damon and elena & jeremy are outside the hospital, elena tells him he just has to move on from their parents death bc “the rest of the world has” ?!? Their parents only died 4 months prior!!
And the teacher tells elena “I allowed your personal issues to affect you last year but not this year” BRO HER PARENTS DIED A MONTH BEFORE SCHOOL ENDED LAST YEAR?? Like what?? And even if they had died earlier, it’s insane to say her parents dying SHOULDN’T affect her school work.
Honestly it’s a little funny bc it’s so unrealistic but then again I’m watching a show about vampires. Anyways yeah this is kinda just boggling my mind cause what ??

Is the Originals worth watching?
I just started season 4 and I HATE Klaus and Rebekah with a passion. I’m so sick of them ruining everyone’s lives. I literally cannot imagine a world where either are redeemable.
With that being said, is the Originals worth watching if I kind of hate the majority of them? I love Elijah, and I heard people end up liking it more that TVD.

The only turning off the humanity situation I liked was the first Stefan one!!
The other ones especially the Elena one was just way too extra and overdramatic and drawn out to me. I think the Stefan one was more realistic on how it would be. The other ones were "let's show off how mean girl we can get" also Stefan said he didn't get his humanity back for like 50 years or something but everyone else gets it back in like 2 days...I get they had more help but they made it a whole big thing that Stefan took half his lifetime to get his humanity back and then other people get it back as easy as pie! (Yes I know the numbers aren't accurate I was exaggerating on purpose) I know y'all probably loved the other ones and are going to down vote this like crazy! Y'all seem to be opposite of me on literally every post but it is what it is that's how I feel about them
