Everyone Was Selfish Toward Bonnie, Even When She Was Dead

I originally stopped watching TVD around season 4. The whole Delena drama got super boring for me, and honestly, I’ve always found Elena kind of annoying. Plus, once the Originals left for their own show, I just lost interest. Klaus was my favorite, so I jumped ship to The Originals instead.

Now, years later, I decided to give TVD another shot and picked it back up recently. I’m in early season 5, and I’ve gotta say… the way everyone treats Bonnie is actually infuriating. She’s dead — literally dead — and none of her “friends” even notice. They’re all living their lives, being happy, and just assuming she’s busy or ignoring them.

What really gets me is that they start getting annoyed that she’s not answering their calls or showing up when they need her magic. Like? She’s been doing everything for them nonstop, and now that she’s gone (and they don’t even realize she’s gone), they’re mad she’s not around to help. The entitlement is unreal.

It’s like they only value her for what she can do for them, not who she is. They don’t even stop to think that maybe she has a life of her own, or emotions, or trauma to deal with. She’s constantly sacrificing everything for others, and in return, she gets overlooked, taken for granted, or outright disrespected.

Bonnie has always been so selfless and loyal, and the way her so-called friends treat her just makes my blood boil. She deserved way better from every single one of them.

The Vicki Donovan issue

I don't think it's talked enough that Vicki, who was eighteen and a druggie, 'slept' with Jeremy prior to the show, in between the moment his parents died and the beginning of show in September 2009.

I'm putting the 'slept' in quotes because, well, she was eighteen, an adult. And he was fourteen at the time. He turned fifteen in October only. He wasn't even a high school student at the time. She 'slept' with a grieving middle school child and gave him pills and drugs and used him to get Elena's prescribed pills.

Why did no one freak out about that ?!? I know she died pretty early on in the show, but she should have been charged for r*pe on a minor and a dozen other things, *at the very minimum*.

If anything, she deserved a more painful death imo.

I love how Katherine back in 1492 while escaping from Klaus during the ritual, had the presence of mind to take the moonstone with her for leverage. That level of cunning? Iconic.
