Why are some people so against ingesting vampire blood?
It's happened on quite a few occasions, someone is dying but refuses to drink blood.
Except, drinking vampire blood only has consequences if you die, and even then you can usually choose not to feed and simply die, and even if you do feed, killing yourself immediately after turning is still an option.
I really don't understand why some people seem to think turning into a vampire means you can't kill yourself either. Damon was pissed at Stefan for making him turn, as if becoming a vampire suddenly took the option of suicide off the table, but he was ready to die before so why not just die now.
It's not because it'll make them impure in some way because Jenna was able to pass on and find peace simply by dying without blood on her hands.

is it bad to not like delena at all in the beginning?
i found it extremely hard to like delena or even see the potential ship. the actors had insane chemistry yes, but it always seemed so wrong to me. Damon constantly preying on his brothers girlfriend after Stefan constantly tried to save him and root for his redemption... it just seems foul. especially when Stefan left with Klaus and ruined his life to save Damon's life and basically left Damon and Elena to fall in love with each other... I get it, its a love triangle, but i couldn't support it

First time watching
First time watcher here, so I'm half way through S1 and I don't know how I avoided watching this show for so long. It's good
I want to avoid spoilers but I just came to say if anything happens to Bonnie, Caroline & Elana I'm going to scream.
Wish me luck

Season 2 Episode 3 - Something i noticed on a rewatch
So, this is the first time i've bothered to rewatch this show since i first saw it many years ago.
In this episode Tyler discovers the old cellars from the old plantation, he questions his mother about it and while she doesn't come out and say, it's heavily implied it was used for slavery.
Later in the very same episode, a lovely young lady of colour is compelled by Caroline to go bother someone, and she chose Tyler. Who then takes her to this cellar for some privacy.
I'm Australian, we have our own shit history with racism and all that. But surely an American show, set in the south, did not just make one of their characters, a descendant of white slave owners, take a black girl to a former cellar with chains and stuff that would've been used to hold slaves.
Please tell me I somehow got that wrong.

Stefan and Damons kill counts were bad even for vamps
Stefan and Damon kill counts were bad even by vampire standards
Stefan and Damons kill counts were extremely high for them being vampires for some 160 odd years Stefan’s were probably ridiculous like somewhere in the 1500-2000 or more range but even Damon’s was probably north of a 1000. They did crazy numbers in comparison to your average vampire even those far older

Does anyone know?
Does anyone know why nina seems like the least involved out of the cast for conventions, and stuff like that?
