ℹ️The Red Terror was one of the deadliest killings committed by the Derg regime in Ethiopia 🇪🇹.
At that time, Ethiopia was a socialist country and the regime persecuted anyone who spoke out against it.
Abel's family suffered from this, and eventually his relatives fled Ethiopia 🇪🇹.
In his lyrics, when the artist says, “I was running from terror,” he is referring to the terror in Ethiopia at the time from his mother’s POV. His mother’s life, full of ups and downs, reflects the sacrifices she made during that period.
