The International Union of Architects (UIA) has announced the theme "Design for Strength" for the 2025 World Architecture Day.
In 2025, World Habitat Day will focus on urban crisis response and will be celebrated on Monday, October 6, 2025.
Through this theme, the UIA encourages architects worldwide to adopt strategies that strengthen the built environment’s resilience, adaptability, and capacity for renewal, rather than focusing solely on temporary solutions. Beyond providing shelter, architecture should promote equity, continuity, and resilience—particularly in times of disruption and change.
