Meet Myriam A. Said, a digital economy advisor within the Office of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, spearheading the nation's transition into the digital age. Former Director of the National Digital Transformation Program at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, Myriam led the crafting of "Digital Ethiopia 2025," focusing on fostering an inclusive digital landscape.

With over 15 years in the private sector before her government role, Myriam's journey began at a leading ICT System Integration Company, executing national IT infrastructure projects. She co-founded a digital financial services provider, pioneering platforms to streamline payments and transactional efficiencies.

Myriam's diverse experience in the digital realm includes strategy formulation, policy development, program execution, team leadership, project planning, and navigating private sector investments and business management.

A native of Addis Ababa, born to an Ethiopian father and a French mother, Myriam holds an academic background in the sciences with a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics, complemented by a Masters in Theoretical Physics.

Meet Kalkidan Mulugeta, the visionary co-founder of ClearSkies ICT Technology in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, specializing in Telecoms Value Added Services and Technology Consulting. Kalkidan's wealth of experience spans both the public and private sectors, making her a dynamic force as a business owner, consultant, and employee.

Her journey into the realms of research and mobile technology began with winning the 2012 Global Challenges Canada-funded grant. Leading a team in Windhoek, Namibia, Kalkidan developed the groundbreaking "Report2Save" road safety mobile application, accompanied by a nationwide study on road traffic accidents.

Kalkidan's commitment to digital financial services led her to contribute significantly to the National Bank of Ethiopia's Regional Financial Inclusion Framework in 2023. She has also played a pivotal role in developing training curricula for coffee farmers and consulting for the Government of Ethiopia's Ministry of Innovation and Technology.

With an 18-month consultancy stint on a $100 million revolving fund for startups, Kalkidan designed a framework for fund dissemination across Ethiopia, contributing to access to finance and job growth. She also lent her expertise to ComzAfrica, a pan-African software company offering Value Added Solutions to Telcos in 24 countries.

As a community-conscious individual, Kalkidan serves on the boards of Swahili Pot Hub in Mombasa, Kenya, inspiring and nurturing entrepreneurs and creatives, and Karanso Africa in Liberia, focused on building innovative, community-led, social, and economic sustainability for marginalized youth populations.
