📌The jihadist and fascist mentality of ISIS targets the values of society and life through the person of the woman.
📌In response to these attacks, Yazidi women led the resistance, and our people in Şengal took up arms and defended their dignity.
📌With the strategy of self-defense, the struggle of women will become an entrenched culture of free life, standing against the mentality of the state and male domination.

The 74th genocide of the Yazidi people by Daesh began on 3 August 2014. Entire families were exterminated. Thousands of women were kidnapped and a lot of them are still in the hands of Daesh.
One response to the genocide was the establishment of self-defense units. In 2015 Êzîdxan Women’s Units (Yekinêyen Jinên Êzîdxan) was founded. Because one thing is clear: self-defense is as important for women as the air we breathe.

Today we remember Zozan Zêdan, Ranya Eta, Diyana Elo, Dîlan Izedîn and Silava Remedan with sadness and anger. They were killed 3 years ago, 2022, in a Turkish drone attack.

Today the panel “March 10 Agreement and Integration Toward a Decentralized Pluralistic Syria", organized by the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) took place. The participants stated their readiness to provide the expertise they gained over the last years to establish a new Syria. Furthermore the participants emphasized that their is no attempt to divide Syria, even though the transitional government is accusing SDF and other forces to do so.
The guests stressed out that they believe in the strength of SDF and SDC and showed their support for SDF, SDC and the Autonomous Administration, knowing that they can play an important role for all of Syria.

YPJ Commander Newroz Ehmed explains that the Syrian interim government is acting under pressure from foreign forces. Many meetings with the interim government took place and agreements were reached but were blocked due to the intervention of foreign troops.
The Paris meeting did not take place due to Turkey's intervention: "Turkey's goal is to block a solution and reconciliation. Even if there are agreements,they want it to be fulfilled under the conditions they impose. It has to happen according to the will of the Turkish state."

A security operation against ISIS is held in the city of Al Hasakh. The operation is launched by the SDF, the Internal security forces and YPJ. So far 39 memberes of ISIS cells have been captured.
