На NeurIPS так много людей (10,000+), что люди сами подходят и знакомятся. Сегодня ко мне подошли два чела с Microsoft и Course Hero.

Lehigh конечно для многих ноунейм.

Из хайлайтов, opening expo talk от рисерчеров из AWS про building small LLMs, expo demo от Qualcomm (челы изощряются по всякому для оптимизации inference всего на телефонах с их процессором), непонятные выступления AstraZeneca про AI in bio, и под конец jazz bar.

В целом, классная атмосфера. Любой aspiring ML researcher обязан посетить NeurIPS.

Говоря о посещении, я посчитал стоимость некоторых затрат.

NeurIPS tickets: $475 (for all days)
Flight tickets: $366.40 (Philly to New Orleans)
Hotel: $842.11 (7 nights)
Poster printing: $48

Total: $1731.51

Это ещё не считая еды и других расходов типа убера.
