The Mountain at ‘Arafah where the Prophet stood is called “Jabal Ar-Rahmah”. However this name has no basis in the Sunnah and it is not correct to assert this as its name. Rather it is better that it be called Jabal ‘Arafah or the Mount at which he stood. (Fatāwa Ibn ‘Uthaimīn)

‎🖊️ Some points covered during this lesson:

‎- Chapter 1: Kitāb aṭ-Ṭahārah
‎- Ḥadīth #2: “Allāh will not accept the prayer of any of you if he has broken his wuḍū up until he performs it.”
‎- The two types of purification.
‎- All acts of worship are tawqīfiyyah and not open to opinions.
‎- “Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated. Labouring hard, exhausted. They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot, blazing fire.” [Sūrah al-Ghāshiyah 88:2-4]
‎- Explanation of how a person can work hard performing deeds in this world and still enter the Fire.
‎- Shurūṭ (conditions) vs arkān (pillars).
‎- The two states of impurity and how they are removed.
‎- Examples of the ease Allāh has placed in our religion.
‎- Those excused from performing ablution, and what is done in its place.
‎- Performing tayammum in a hospital room.
‎- Fulfilment of the āyah, “So keep your duty to Allāh and fear Him as much as you can” [Sūrah at-Taghābun 64:16]
‎- Commands vs prohibitions as it relates to ability.
‎- “Whoever disbelieved in Allāh after his belief, except him who is forced thereto and whose heart is at rest with Faith…” [Sūrah an-Naḥl 16:106]
‎- The story of ‘Ammār b. Yāsir (رضى الله عنهما) who was compelled by the mushrikīn to disparage the Prophet ﷺ.
‎- Whisperings that lead a person to transgress the limits, and how to combat them.
‎- The wuḍū of the Messenger ﷺ.
‎- The meaning of the term wuḍū, and its purpose.
‎- The most complete of stations for the son of Ādam.
‎- Adorning ourselves for the prayer and presenting ourselves before our Lord in the best of conditions.
‎- The response of Ibn ‘Umar (رضى الله عنهما) when he saw one of his sons praying in a single garment.
‎- The meaning of the āyah, “O children of Ādam, take your adornment at every masjid…” [Sūrah al-A’rāf 7:31]
‎- Being eager to give the prayer its due right.

‎Questions

‎1. If a person is afflicted with siḥr and they are not 100% in their speech, actions and thought processes and they utter words of divorce to their wife, is the divorce valid/accepted?
‎2. If a woman is on her period can she wake up in the last third of the night and supplicate?
‎3. When do you make the du’ā for leaving the masjid?
‎4. My mother is elderly and I am her only son. I have a good job and a spacious home where I can accommodate a wife, however, many sisters reject living with a mother-in-law. Is this attitude correct?
‎5. After a lesson in the masjid can I go home and pray Maghrib and ‘Ishā together?
‎6. Is my dad’s uḍḥiyah enough for me and my wife if we live in the same house?
‎7. Is it permissible to carry out jumu’ah in a Deobandi masjid as it is closest to my work?
‎8. I travel from Birmingham to Wolverhampton and Dudley for work, can I combine Ẓuhr and ‘Asr and shorten them?
‎9. A new muslim falls into sins or bad habits and finds it difficult to carry out obligations and stay away from prohibitions. What do you advise?
‎10. Is it permissible to accept a gift from someone you know has partially ḥarām earnings?
‎11. Question regarding intention in the prayer.
