The ‘Allāmah and Muhaddith, Muqbil Ibn Hādī Al-Wādi’ī (rahimahullāh) said:

“We praise Allah, the Glorified and Most High, for what He has facilitated in the spread of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

The credit for this belongs to Allah, the Glorified and Most High—and it is not due to our own ability, nor our strength, nor our bravery, nor our eloquence in speech, nor due to the abundance of our wealth.

Rather, it is a matter that Allah, the Glorified and Most High, willed, and so it came to be.

And along with this remarkable spread [of da’wah], we praise Allah, the Glorified and Most High, for the calm that prevails among Ahlus-Sunnah, and for the tranquility that Allah, the Glorified and Most High, has made easy for us.

Al-Hasan al-Basri (d. 110H rahimahullāh) spoke well when he said: “Indeed, we are in a state of happiness — if the kings and the sons of kings knew of it, they would fight us with swords for it.”

(Tuhfatul-Mujeeb, p. 397)

إنا نحمد الله سبحانه وتعالى.. على ما يَسّر من انتشار سنة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم، والفضل في هذا لله سبحانه وتعالى؛ فليس ذلك بحولنا ولا بقوتنا ولا بشجاعتنا ولا بفصاحتنا في الخطابة ولا بكثرة مالنا؛ ولكنْ أمرٌ أراده الله سبحانه وتعالى فكان.

‏ومع هذا الانتشار العجيب فنحمد الله سبحانه وتعالى على الهدوء الذي يسود ‌أهل ‌السنة والطمأنينة التي يسر الله سبحانه وتعالى، ولقد أحسن الحسن البصري إذ يقول: "إنّنا في سعادة لو يعلم الملوك وأبناء الملوك لجالدونا عليها بالسيوف".
