### 🐄 Reflection on Modern Dairy Practices

1. As a teacher of Animal Husbandry, I have witnessed closely how animals are being pushed beyond their natural limits to produce milk.

2. Advanced technologies are being used not for the welfare of animals, but primarily to increase milk yield and profit margins.

3. High-protein and energy-rich diets are formulated not for the animal’s comfort, but to maximize output.

4. Techniques like artificial insemination (AI) are being repeatedly applied to ensure continuous milk production cycles, often ignoring the animal’s physical and emotional well-being.

5. Early weaning practices separate calves from their mothers so that the milk meant for the calf can be diverted for commercial sale.

6. This contradiction is painful — humans worship the cow as *“Gau Mata”* for religious and cultural reasons, yet exploit her in the name of economic gain.

7. The double-standard is evident — while rituals and festivals glorify the sanctity of milk, the suffering behind its production is conveniently ignored.

8. It’s time for this generation to open its eyes — to acknowledge the harsh realities behind the dairy industry and move toward more compassionate and ethical choices.
