Signs of Low Intelligence: Showing Off

Al -Shawkani said in “Qatar Al -Wali” (440): “Whoever is unable to dismiss himself from showing off, it’s due to having low intelligence level, and weak mind. Also, it’s due having a foolish nature. Such person is so foolish that he exceeds the foolishness of the most foolish of people.

◾️من حقوق الوالِدَيْنِ الدعاء لهما ◾️



🍁عنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " إِذَا مَاتَ الْإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ: إِلَّا مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ، أَوْ عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ، أَوْ وَلَدٍ صَالِحٍ يَدْعُو لَهُ "رواه مسلم(1631).




🍃قال الطيبي في «شرح مشكاة المصابيح» (1/361): المعنى إذا مات الإنسان لا يكتب له بعده أجر أعماله لأنه جزاء العمل وهو ينقطع بموته إلا فعلًا دائم الخير مستمر النفع.

📌 مثل: وقف أرض، أو تصنيف كتاب، أو تعليم مسألة يعمل بها، أو ولد صالح ،وكل منها يلحق أجره إليه.

🍂وإنما جعل ولد صالح من جنس العمل، لأنه هو السبب في وجوده وسبب لصلاحه بإرشاده إلى الهدى.


كما جُعل نفس العمل في قوله تعالى:{إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ }[هود: 46].


📌وأما فائدة القيد بـ<الولد يدعو له> مع أن الغير من المسلمين لو دعا له لنفعه أيضًا فزيادة للبيان ،وتحريض للولد على الدعاء وأنه كالواجب عليه. اهـ

•• 🍁Etiquettes ••🍁


🍂 *One of the rights of the parents is that the child supplicates (makes Dua) for them*🍂

🍁 Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said:

“When a person dies, his deeds come to end except for three things: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge or a righteous child who supplicates for him (the deceased).”
Narrated by Muslim (1631).

Al-Tibi said in “Sharh Mishkat Al-Masabih” (1/361):

▪️Meaning:
After a person's death, the reward for his deeds come to an end except for those righteous deed which are beneficial, permanent and are of continuous benefit.

📌 Example:
Gifting land for the purpose of charity only, publishing books, spreading beneficial knowledge or raising a righteous child.

All of the above examples have their own specific reward.

A righteous child is included as a righteous deed because the parents are the reason for his existence, piety and righteousness by way of spiritual guidance.

Similarly, Allaah سبحانه و تعالى mentioned how the children can be referred to as an unrighteous deed:

Allaah سبحانه وتعالى said, referring to the son of Nuh:
*{إنه عمل غير صالح}*

*{he is a deed which is unrighteous}.*
(Hud: 46).

📌 The benefit of specifying about the child who supplicates for him in the narration:

If other than the child were to supplicate for the deceased from amongst the Muslims, it would surely be of benefit to him also.
But for the purpose of further explanation and encouragement, the obligation upon the child to supplicate for their parents is stressed as an obligation.

قال ابن القيم رَحِمَهُ الله في «الوابل الصيب»(41) في فوائد الذكر:
الذكر يطرد الشيطان ويقمعه ويكسره،
ويُرضي الرحمن عز وجل،ويزيل الهم
والغم عن القلب، ويجلب للقلب الفرح
والسرور والبسط، ويقوي القلب والبدن،
وينوّر الوجه والقلب، ويجلب الرزق.

Ibnul -Qayyim, رحمه الله تعالى said in “Al -Wabel Al -Saib” (41) regarding *Benefits of Dhikr* (remembance of Allaah):

Dhikr expels, suppresses, weakens and breaks Satan.
At the same time, dhikr pleases The Most Gracious, The Merciful, The Exalted, The Majestic and at the same time removing worry and grief from the heart.
It also attracts and brings joy, happiness and delight to the heart whilst strengthening and fortifing the heart and body.

Dhikr illuminates and sheds light on the face and heart, and brings forth livelihood (provision).

قال الحافظ أبو الفداء إسماعيل بن عمر بن كثير رحمه الله:
وَالْخُشُوعُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ إِنَّمَا يحصل
لمن فرغ قلبه لها، وَاشْتَغَلَ بِهَا عَمَّا عَدَاهَا، وَآثَرَهَا عَلَى غَيْرِهَا،
وَحِينَئِذٍ تَكُونُ رَاحَةً لَهُ وَقُرَّةَ عَيْنٍ، كَمَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ
الَّذِي رَوَاهُ الْإِمَامُ أَحْمَدُ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «حُبِّبَ إِلَيَّ الطّيبُ وَالنِّسَاءُ، وَجُعِلَتْ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِي فِي الصَّلَاةِ»

Al-Hafiz Abu al-Fida Ismail bin Omar bin Katheer, رحمه الله تعالى said:

“Having Concentration and submissivness in prayer can only be achieved when one devotes their heart and focuses on it.

One should not have any form of distraction and should make the prayer his *only* priority. It is only then, his prayer will be a source of relaxation, consolation, delight and pleasure for his eyes.

As our Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said in the hadeeth narrated by Imam Ahmed and Al-Nisaee on the authority of Anas:

”It was made dear and beloved to me fragrance, women (his wives) and the pleasure of prayer which is the coolness of my eyes (i.e. nothing brings delight like prayer).”

🌺عدم تهديد المرأة بالطلاق🌺

📌من أسباب تفكُّكِ الأُسَر: تهديد المرأة بالطلاق، والشرع حريصٌ على بناءِ الأُسَرِ وليس هدمَهَا.


📘قال الشيخ ابن عثيمين في «سلسلة اللقاء الشهري»(رقم اللقاء: 31): أما مسألة الطلاق فلا تذكره أبدًا عند المرأة، الرجل إذا ذكر الطلاق عند المرأة صار هذا الشبح أمام عينها نائمة ويقظانه، وهذا غلط؛ ولهذا من السفه أن بعض الناس يذكر كلمة الطلاق لامرأته، حتى ولو للتهديد.
🍂يا أخي: هددها بغير هذا، تهددها بالطلاق فيبقى الشيطان دائمًا يعمل في قلبها، حتى تؤدي النهاية إلى الفراق، والعياذ بالله.

*Do not Threaten the Women with Divorce!*

📌 Among the reasons for the break up of families:

Threatening the woman with divorce is a means of destruction, whilst the legislation encourages to support and preserve the families.


📘 Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله تعالى said in the “Monthly Meeting Series” (meeting number: 31):

As for the issue of divorce, it should never be mentioned to a woman.

The utterance of divorce by a man to the woman results in a nightmare which disturbs her even during sleep and wakefulness. And this is wrong!!

Threatening the wife with divorce is utter foolishness.

Oh My brother! If you have to threaten her, do it without threatening her with divorce.

Threatening her with divorce causes Shaitan to always whisper in her heart, until the end result is separation. We seek refuge in Allaah from this.

قال ابن القيم في «الجواب الكافي»(74): ومن عقوبات الذنوب: أَنَّهَا تُزِيلُ النِّعَمَ، وَتُحِلُّ النِّقَمَ، فَمَا زَالَتْ عَنِ الْعَبْدِ نِعْمَةٌ إِلَّا بِذَنْبٍ، وَلَا حَلَّتْ بِهِ نِقْمَةٌ إِلَّا بِذَنْبٍ، كَمَا قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: مَا نَزَلْ بَلَاءٌ إِلَّا بِذَنْبٍ، وَلَا رُفِعَ إِلَّا بِتَوْبَةٍ.وَقَدْ قَالَ تَعَالَى:
{وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍ} [سُورَةُ الشُّورَى: 30] .

وَقَالَ تَعَالَى:
{ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِعْمَةً أَنْعَمَهَا عَلَى قَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ} [سُورَةُ الْأَنْفَالِ: 53] .

✒️ Ibnul-Qayyim رحمه الله تعالى said in "الجواب الكافي":

*From the Punishment / Penalties of Sins*

Punishments and penalties of sins causes the favours and blessings to cease and vanish and trials to occur.

Therefore, no blessing or favour ceases from a servant except due to a sin that was committed. The same applies with regards to being afflicted with a trial which is due a sin committed.

As Ali ibn Abi Talib has said:

No affliction descends except due to a sin (that was committed), nor an affliction lifted except by way of repentance.

Allaah سبحانه و تعالى said:

{وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍ} [سُورَةُ الشُّورَى: 30]

*{And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much.}*
[Ash-Shura 42:30]

Allaah سبحانه و تعالى said:

{ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِعْمَةً أَنْعَمَهَا عَلَى قَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ}
[سُورَةُ الْأَنْفَالِ: 53] .

*{That is so because Allash will never change a grace which He has bestowed on a people until they change what is in their ownselves. And verily, Allash is All-Hearer, All-Knower.}*
[Al-Anfal 8:53]

قال الشيخ مقبل رحمه الله: باب الجرح والتعديل عند أن أهمله المعاصرون
اختلط الحابل بالنابل، والسني بالبدعي، والصادق بالكاذب،
وعلماء السوء بالعلماء العاملين، فلم يستطع العامة أن يميزوا
بين العلماء الصادقين المخلصين الناصحين من غيرهم،
فأصبحوا أضحية الاختلاف، ولا سيما مع بروز هذه
الجماعات الجاهلة إلى الساحة الإسلامية،
وأقبح من هذا علماء السوء الذين يسيرون مع كل ناعق،
بل ربما تشبه الشيوعي بالعلماء، وقام خطيبا في المجامع،
بل وفي المساجد، ولَبَّس على الناس.
فإني أنصح إخواني في الله أن يستعينوا بالله في كشف
أحوال هؤلاء المارقين، وأولئك المنافقين، وأولئك
الجاهلين، في مؤلفات نافعة لزمننا هذا، وللأجيال القادمة.
«الجامع الصحيح مما ليس في الصحيحين»(1/166).

✒️Sheikh Muqbil (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

When the explanation of Jar and Tadeel is neglected in our time, a state of confusion and uncertainty occurs in everything.

The people of the Sunnah are no longer differentiated from the people of innovation, nor are the truthful from amongst the scholars differentiated from the people of falsehood, whether they be scholars or non scholars.

This then causes the common lay person from amongst the Muslims unable to distinguish between the scholars who are honest and sincere from those who are not.

The occurance of differing (amongst the Muslims) is therefore a result of this, especially with the appearance of those ignorant groups in the Islaamic forums.

Even more replusive (than to what has been already mentioned), those misguided scholars who do not differentiate (between that which is correct and incorrect), go along with anyone and everyone.

This results in a person with Communistic beliefs to be compared to a Scholar and he could appear in masjids giving presentations, whilst the common muslim is duped as he is unaware of his true situation.

I advise my brothers in Islaam to seek Allaah's aid and expose the true condition of the likes of those ignorant, hypocritical, people who are deviated and to refute them in their beneficial writings, so that our generation and the future generations can benefit.

🍁من استجابة دعاءِ الوالِدين للولد🍁

▪️ذهبت عينا مُحَمَّد بن إِسْمَاعِيل -البخاري- فِي صغره.
🍂 فرأت والدتُه الْخَلِيل إِبْرَاهِيم فِي الْمَنَام، فَقَالَ لَهَا: يَا هَذِه قد رد الله على ابْنك بَصَره؛ بِكَثْرَة دعائك.
📌 قالَ: فَأصْبح وَقد رد الله عَلَيْهِ بَصَره.
والأثر في كرامات الأولياء من «شرح أصول اعتقاد أهل السنة»، ومن طريق اللالكائي أخرجه الذهبي بسنده الطويل في « سير أعلام النبلاء»(12/393).وذكره الحافظ في مقدمة « فتح الباري»(478).

🔸فاغتنموا أيها الأولاد وأيتُها البنات دعاءَ آبائكم وأمهاتِكُم، ففيه سعادتكم في أولاكم وأُخراكُم.

🔹وبِرُّوا بوالديكم؛ لتؤدوا واجبًا عظيمًا عليكم، ولتصلكم دعوات والديكم؛ فإن نفسَ الوالِدين تندفع أكثر وبانشراح صدر في الدعاء للبارِّيْنِ.

🍁 *Supplication of the Parents for the Child*

◾️ Muhammad bin Ismael Al-Bukhari lost his sight at a young age.

🍂 His mother saw Al-Khalil Abraham in a dream and he told her:

'Oh you female! Allaah has restored the eyesight of your son because of your consistent supplication for him.

📌 This narration is authentic and is found in various sources:

«شرح اصول اعتقاد أهل السنة»

📝▪️From the narration of Al-Lalakai رحمه الله تعالى

▪️Imaam Ath-Dahabi رحمه الله تعالى reported it with a long chain in the book
«سير أعلام النبلاء» 12/393

▪️Also Al-Hafith رحمه الله تعالى mentioned the narration in his introduction of:
«فتح الباري»487

So, Oh boys and girls! Take advantage of the supplication of your fathers and mothers, so that you will find happiness in this life and the Hereafter.

in order to attain the supplications of your parents, be dutiful and righteous towards them.
Also carry out and perform this great duty which has been made obligatory upon you.

Verily, the parents are overjoyed and delighted to supplicate for their children who are dutiful and righteous to them.

💎من علامة بركة العلم 💎

📕قال الشيخ ابن عثيمين في « فتح ذي الجلال والإكرام»(2/134) في شرح قوله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «وبارك لي فيما أعطيت»: أي: أنزل البركة لي فيما أعطيتَ، من علم وولد ومال وغير ذلك مما أعطى الله؛ لأن الله تعالى إذا أنزل البركة في شيء سدَّ ما يسده غيره بأضعاف مضاعفة.
وإذا نُزِعت البركة من شيءٍ فإنه أسرع ما يزول ولا ينتفع به الإنسان، البركة في العلم أن الله يوسِّعُ العلم للإنسان، ويوسع انتشار العلم على يديه، ويجعله عاملًا بعلمه، كل هذا من بركة العلم.

🍁هذه ثلاث علامات ذكرها الشيخ ابن عثيمين رَحِمَهُ الله من علامات بركة العلم:
▪️توسيع العلم لطالبه، أي: نموه وتزايده.
▪️انتشار العلم على يديه.
▪️العمل بما تعلَّم واستفاد.

🍂اللهم علِّمْنَا ما ينفعنا، وبارك لنا فيه.

💎 Signs of Blessed Knowledge 💎

📕 Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen said in “Fatah Thul al-Jalal Wa Ikraam” (2/134) explaining the Prophet’s saying, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, “And bless me with what I was given”. Meaning: Send your blessings to whatever I was given, from knowledge, children, wealth, and other things that Allah gave us. Because if Allah Almighty sends His blessings upon something, it will bring completion to it in many folds unlike any other effort. And if the blessings of Allah is removed from something, then it will go away fast and will be of no benefit to the person.

These three signs were mentioned by Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, are from the signs of blessed knowledge:

▪️ Expanding of knowledge for students, i.e. growth and increase.
▪️The spread of knowledge on his hands.
▪️Application of knowledge learned and benefiting from it.

Oh Allah, teach us what benefits us, and bless us with it.
