Fear is an alarm system for the body. Just like hunger lets us know we are hungry, pain lets us know something is wrong with our body, fear lets us know when something is dangerous.
Thousands of years of human development led to our automatic fear of spiders and snakes. Why? Because some are poisonous can can kill us. Irrational fear is caused by our ancestors' history of avoiding dangerous animals. Fear is a survival mechanism.
Most people have a fear of spiders, snakes, sharks, monkeys, bears...........and also mannequins?
Answer this: In what universe/past scenario is it useful for humans to be afraid of something that looks almost human but isn't?

Men pose in front of the picket fence unearthed in the early 1920s during excavation work for the Capitol Theatre on Swanston Street in Melbourne, Australia.
This is one of my favorite mud flood proofs out there. There should be no reason for a picket fence to be excavated in Australia. Most of anything built at the time of this photo should be less than 100 years old so there should be no “cultural layers”

Zawyet el-Erian è un'antica città tra Giza e Abusir. Contiene due complessi piramidali e cinque mastabe. Dal 1964 l'area è chiusa: ora è una base militare segreta e gli scavi sono severamente vietati.
Vecchie fotografie mostrano strutture incredibili, ma lo stato attuale di queste antichità resta un mistero.

Zawyet el-Erian is an ancient city between Giza and Abusir. It contains two pyramid complexes and five mastabas. Since 1964 the area has been closed: it is now a secret military base and excavations are strictly forbidden.
Old photographs show incredible structures, but the current state of these antiquities remains a mystery.
