I have watched both the Dub and the Sub from beginning to finish. Eren, Gabi, etc. feel like completely different characters; here's the biggest differences I noticed
I really wanted to know what it was like, so I initially watched the Dub as my first time, and thought it was great! But then i rewatched in the Sub, and it really is just better in most cases. Here are the biggest contrasts I’ve noticed, if I didn’t mention the character that means they are either interchangeable between languages and convey the character about the same.
Eren: Sub >>> dub
Gabi: Sub >>>>>>> dub
Armin: Sub >>> dub
Jean: Sub >> dub
Erwin: Dub > sub
These characters, especially Eren and Gabi, are just so different.
Eren: just too insufferable in the dub, and I initially really liked the dub until I heard the sub. dub really highlights the childish brat that Eren is, but to a ridiculous amount. Sub Eren has such an empathizing performance that it really felt like I was watching Eren for the first time with so much more interest. They make him more relatable in the sub, and theres essentially no scene I prefer dub Eren except when him and Reiner are screaming at each other in the woods. Really great from Bryce. Eren in sub feels very complex and less typical cheesy anime tropes youd usually find in Dubs. Also not to mention the titan screams are wayyyy better in the sub.
Gabi: The most stark contrast in the entire show. She is horrendous in the dub, and whoever chose her VA shouldve gotten fired, no joke. Sub makes her a legit character you want to understand, and her VA in the sub is like the direct compliment to Erens VA in the sub, the sound very parallel. Dub is also parallel, but in the worst way possible and much more grating to listen to than dub Eren. I cant believe how much I stopped hating on Gabi when I watched the sub, they are literally different characters.
Armin: sorry the dub has way too cringy deliveries and ridiculous dialogue that its hard to take him seriously. Sub still sounds a little too feminine, but still just better than dub. Season 1 was really bad for Armin and Eren in the dub, but they both improve.
Jean: He kinda sounds pathetic in the dub, which i dont like. The amount of voice cracks is really hard to listen to, and sub makes him more likable to me. Dub does get better but it’s a mixed bag for me.
Erwin: Probably the only VA i prefer in the dub. it’s likely due to the ability of understanding the emotion he gives in a language I understand, like his calvary charge scene is soooo good in the dub, but sub/dub Erwin are great that its more of whatever language you understand best.
The rest of the cast are similar enough that I didn't need to mention them, these just felt like the standouts. I'd say that I prefer everyone else in sub because they just generally sound more natural and relatable. A lot of them are actually pretty good in the dub outside of these so I don't actually hate dub overall, but for me these particular characters actually changed my perspective of them. If you read all this, thanks for listening and if any of you watched both too lmk! Just my opinion, nothing is really objective

What do you think Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie’s plan was if they successfully got Eren to Eldia?
So of course as soon as those 3 found out Eren had the attack titan they tried to capture him, do you think if they brought him back that the Eldians would’ve forcefully taken the attack titan back? Or do you think Zeke would’ve stepped in and it would’ve gone a different way? Honestly don’t see a way Eren survives if he goes to Eldia regardless, they’re not going to just keep him prisoner and waste a perfectly good titan, maybe the goal was to convince him to join their side?

Need help finding good merch
hey guys i need help finding good merch! not really collectibles, just clothes, but everything i find is either insanely expensive to the point it’s clearly just price gouging (retail and resale) like $60 for a single shirt OR it’s reasonably priced but crappy huge screen print in a gildan tee or juat a dumb square design slapped on a shirt thats an ugly design. i cant seem to find any really cool tasteful merch. i wouldn’t even mind it being a bit more expensive if its an awesome design, as long as it’s not atrocious. help me find some cool stuff!!

do you support eren's rumbling ?
As you see aot has finished 2 years ago, so eren killing 80% population do you support rumbling or not , if you don't support then suggest a better way than rumbling to end the conflict

I just finished AoT. I now feel empty.
I had never seen AoT in full until very recently. I remember watching Season 1 back when I couldn't even remember the names of the characters I was looking at, but it was an amazing experience that left me wanting more. Fast forward some years and Season 2 rolls around, and I find myself lost as I don't remember anything that's going on (and I'm pretty sure I accidentally loaded up a chapter different from the first one so that didn't help) so I decided to drop the series and think nothing of it. Years go by and I get spoiled now and again but, eh, it's not like I care. I see talk about how good of a series it is but I didn't pay much mind. Until recently. I began playing some AoT games for the fun of it. Played Attack on Titan 2 and it was an absolute blast, reliving the story with my own created character, it ignited the same passion I had long ago. And so I picked it up again, back from episode 1. I didn't completely spoil myself so some things were absolutely new to me and exciting, and the things that I did get spoiled helped shed light on previous forshadowing I would not have noticed otherwise, feeding into my excitement. Now, about an hour ago, amidst my ugly crying from the powerful scenes in the last few episodes and my squeals of absolute excitement at the action, I finished AoT. I genuinely am sad to have missed out on it for so long, but at the same time I'm glad I watched it now since I doubt I could've appreciated it this much back then. Yet now I feel an emptiness I only felt once before when I finished another anime I really loved. An emptiness filled with sadness that such a great series is over and there is nothing more to see. But I have to say, this was one of the best pieces of media I have seen.
Just wanted to share this with some folk.

I finished Attack on Titan and it feels like a dream
Some stories you enjoy, but some just leave a scar deep inside you.
It was April 2021, when I started a show based on recommendation of my friend called "Attack on Titan". Watched the first three episodes about some wall breaking, but since I felt it too boring and left it.
Over the years, I watched multiple edits and references of this show. Finally after so much time in March 2025 I started this show, and boy, has it not been one of the most profounding experience of my life. Right from the beginning I was hooked, the vibe the show had was incredible.
During season 1, I saw some reviews saying Season 3 and 4 of AOT are very political. I was like how does politics fit into a survival world, where does politics even come from. Will they negotiate with Titans?
During Season 1 and 2, the way show build itself, the way it sold itself, never could I think the true reality of Titans. And major part of this come from the fact, that whenever there is red herring in shows, most of them make it too obvious that the enemy in the front is not real enemy. This time, however, the show itself was so focused on villainizing Titans, right from narrating (fake history) in initial intros, to songs pressing on the "Hunter" and "Victim" concept. Making Titans feel like oppressors, and that's why when it was hinted that Humans can be Titans, I knew I was watching a masterpiece.
And that's the best thing about AOT. AOT never spoonfeeds you opinions or ideologies. It just shows you perspectives, more and more. How much we all hated The Female Titan, but was the feeling same after watching Annie's OVAs and backstory? We thought Zeke to be big baddie, was the feeling same after watching how Grisha mistreated him. And that also made me hate Grisha, but again the feeling was not same after watching Grisha's memories and his truth.
And the characters....rarely ever I get connected to fictional characters so much, like they are my own friends. My favorite character, of all is none other than Mikasa. She's the ideal female protagonist to exist, atleast for me. So much power, and so much strength yet so soft. Eren, Levi, Erwin, Hanji, Armin, Zeke and Sasha, all of them felt like friends from another world to me.
I watched the episode 28 and the last two movie-length episodes last night and by the end, I was just numb and empty. I burst into tears, the moment Hanji named Armin as the next commander of Survey Corps, I loved Hanji so so much, and honestly they deserve much more recognition from the fandom.
Everything in the ending was perfect for me. The brutal effects of Rumbling (Ramzi <3), the ice-cream scene and Eren's breakdown in Marley, Floch's final bravery, Magath, Shadis and Hanji's sacrifices, Pieck, Reiner, Annie's reunion with their families, Gabi's redemption (I don't hate her anymore lol), the battle of heaven and earth, they also managed to give a closure to Zeke (man i loved him so much), and of course the resolution of Ymir's life everything was perfect.
And the saddest scene was of course, when Eren asked Mikasa to move on in the cabin. I literally cried like a baby at that scene, and the entire last half hour, I was sobbing. The conversation between Armin and Eren literally felt like I am talking to Eren myself. Never have I felt so related, so connected, and so sad for a character as much as Eren.
Now, this show is over, I don't know my purpose anymore. For so long, I was entertaining myself with this show and honestly I delayed watching the ending so for long because I didn't just wanted it to end. Thank you so much Hajime Isayama, for creating this masterpiece, and Eren, you will always stay in my heart.
