Genuinely, how bad would it have fucked Levi up if Kenny just said "Yeah, I'm your Dad, and I never loved you" and just fucking died?

A New Beginning, Not a Repeat of the Past

I couldn’t tell whether this topic had been discussed before, but I wanted to share a thought that came to me right after I finished the series.

In the final scene, a boy seemingly prepares to follow Ymir’s path — one that created the Titans and sets off a cycle of hatred, one of the story’s central themes.

But it’s worth recalling the story Zeke tells Armin in the Paths in the final episode. He says that Ymir was driven by a desire for life at the moment she entered the symbiosis that gave birth to the Titans.

Yet in the final scene, the boy is clearly guided by a different feeling. Curiosity, perhaps? Maybe we’re meant to expect something new: even if Titans return, they may not appear in the form we knew before. After all, the heart of this character is stirred by a very different impulse.
